Presently the building belongs to a private company and several projects of the renovation are slow to implement because of the lack of money. That is why Ponte City remains a giant symbol of the urban decay.

I'm from South Africa and each time I drive in to Johanesburg and see the Vaodacom (Use to be Coka Cola) sign I think to my self whens all this going to end. People being brutally cruel to one another and previous symbols of greatness turning to ruble.
