Yeah maybe, but it seemed like he was just trying to get her to leave him alone. I agree that hitting a woman is in almost every case the wrong decision but if some girl starts punching me on the subway, and I have no more outs, I'm throwing some back. Technically the law isn't sexist and that is self defense. Besides the dude who "stopped" the fight didn't do shit, he just stood there.
