When the United Negro College Fund wouldn't give me a scholarship I was crushed. Wanting to expose them, I complained to BET but they wouldn't hear it. Wanting to expose this racially motivated group I went to the OWN network. They slammed the door in my face. Frustrated, I needed to relax. I went on blacksingles.com to find a companion. Alas, they won't have me. Thinking something was wrong with me I contacted the Association of Black Women Physicians, The Association of Black Psychologists, Association of Black Cardiologists, and the National Black Nurses Association. They said everything is okay.
Not letting minor setbacks get in my way, I decided to just take out the student loan and go to college. I needed some help choosing and thought to contact the American Association of Blacks in Higher Education and was advised I would make a good journalist, accountant ot lawyer. Feeling empowered I felt the need to seek career appropriate advice. So I contacted the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists, CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF BLACK LAWYERS, Atlanta Association of Black Journalists, Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers, New York Association of Black Journalists, Houston Associate of Black Journalist, Washington Association of Black Journalists, and lastly the Charlotte Area Association of Black Journalists. To my complete dismay they were unhelpful. All because I am asian.

The world is full of double standards.

I'm a terrible person? I'm not the one who locked a dog in a bathroom until it felt it had to chew it's way out. And as far as kids go, no kid of mine would do something like that. I would teach them how to act like a normal human being. And if a dog chewed it's way through a door, the kids would have to get used to the idea of spot living someplace else. I work too damn hard to have an animal wreck my house like that.
