I run the frozen department at a grocery store and you have no idea how common this is. People buy the bigger pack assuming it's a better deal and they are very, very wrong sometimes. For instance right now I have 2 pack pizzas available for 12.99 and single packs for 5.99. The double packs sell better. Blows my mind!!!! Plus keep in mind that not only can you get the single pack cheaper but if you so choose you can also get some variety. People buy what seems like the better deal and are creatures of habit.
