I can think of a few things that are non toxic and slippery…but I sure as hell don't want them touching my food.

Am I missing something here. Is the squeeze bottle not available everywhere.

Isn't that the polymer Clark Griswold invented and won the Cereal Additive of the Year award? Same stuff…no?

Oh the Crunch enhancer? Yeah it's a non-nutritive cereal varnish. It's semi-permiable. It's not osmotic. What it does is it coats and seals the flake, prevents the milk from penetrating it.

This is nothing new. Hydrophobic materials have been around for awhile now.
The only thing MIT did was coat the inside of the bottle with it.

Why are we still using glass ketchup bottles? They break AND they are tough to get the ketchup out of. Why on earth would you just not use a plastic squeeze bottle??

So you go to shake the bottle like you've done your entire life, then not knowing there's a super secret no friction coating; ketchup come's shootin' out faster than a pidgeon's diarreah turd missile and your whole burger's slathered in heinz and nofriction sauce. I'll take my ketchup the old fashioned way.

Who is so stupid that a couple of tablespoons of stubborn ketchup at the bottom of the bottle (that cost pennies) will cause you to buy an entire, new, experimental product just to get the last little bit out? If you're that hard up, just do like the hobos do…Go into your favorite fast food restaurant and double hand all the ketchup packets you can hold. They're free, you sad son of a gun.

would be great for the consumer but the bottling companies will never use it. the more ketchup that sticks in the bottle the sooner we have to buy a new bottle.

We'll never see this in the market. The less ketchup you use from the botte means more ketchup you'll buy.
