Reddit is basically responsible for more charity, internet activism, and social exchange than any other presence on the web. Basically every other site that posts stuff such as the chive, funny junk, tumblr, etc. is getting 75 – 90% of it from reddit. People like me and Poncho come here for a few minutes to see anything cool we might have missed on the other site because the turnover of popular content is so high you will ALWAYS miss something, but if it was really relevant in the U.S., you'll see it on the chive.

That's the truth. It has nothing to do with special clubs or acting like 10 year olds.
