      Fucking pathetic

      • Blue bronco

The sportsmanship goes without saying. I was commenting on the ads that blow. That you for your comment!

        • Coldzilla

Oh it goes without saying……… hmmm I thought that was the whole gist of the site and the comment section

If you have a problem with the mobile site then either quit using it or find another way to voice your displeasure.

Ya know if youd even bothered to mention the video I could see it but seems like bitching for you was Job 1

Playing in his final match before retiring from the game of soccer, Vadim Evseev of Torpedo Zhodino was taken off during the 67th minute of his testimonial, and replaced by five-year-old Hrisan Dzheus.

The match was being played in honor of Evseev, who played most of his football in Russia and Belarus, and also earned 20 caps with the Russian national team during his 19-year career. But with his side leading by a score of 4-1, it seemed like the perfect time to allow the Torpedo Zhodino supporters to give him his final farewell, as he walked off the pitch to a standing ovation and made way for the youngster, Hrisan.

Hrisan’s father is the Director General of an All-Russian Children’s Center called “Eaglet,” and it is believed that his son’s involvement in the game was simply the team’s way of saying “thank you” for all of his hard work. And their thanks didn’t stop there, as they also allowed Hrisan to dribble the ball all the way down the field and score the fifth goal of the game for his side.

  • Eric

    This is awesome

    • Woody

IT WASN'T HIS SON, CHIVE GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER !!!!

      • arlindo medeiros

        WOODY CALM THE F DOWN!!!

        • DaddyD

The scoreboard said 4-2, not 5-1.

    • manny

      Awesome dad is Awesome!

    • BAM!

The boy keeps calm and chives on!

  • IFeelLikeMoshing

lionel messi has nothing on that boy…did u see how he went thru those defenders?!?!!

    • Ali Ackbah

After that im all for TV replay in football. Man, that should have been a free kick to the other team (white shirts)… The blue attacker clearly pushed and held the white defender before the goal.

  • danallard

If that doesn't bring a smile to your face (and a tear to a father's eye) you must be a heartless tin man…

    • Guest

Nope. Not a father. Just don't care for kids. Part of living in a free country. Thank you for not making me have any.

      • Chris

I don't think he was accussing you of being a father… Also I have no idea where free countries come into this.

  • Brian

Whatever you do, don't saw aaaawwww.

    • G.K.

Yep….way to show the kid that "everyone is a winner" ….he's going to grow up and be very disappointed when he realizes that he's not always going to win…welcome to liberalism….

  • jasonsapunka

Is his son playing in crocs?

  • http://twitter.com/nolaArden @nolaArden

although I don't know a word that dude just said, this has to be the coolest sports moment I've ever seen.

  • ShawnKemp

    That not his son.
He's the son of a friend of the majority shareholder

C'est le fils d'un ami de l'actionnaire majoritaire du club.

    • ChicO85T

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they weren't speaking french so I don't know where you got your translation from

      • ShawnKemp

        Yes that's russian.
Many french medias have related this story

    • Jaba

OMFG!!! The Reign Man? Can I have your autograph? No I will not take over child support for one of your 18 illegitimate kids in exchange.

    • jalmos

The son of the director of a nearby children's center, not the football club's shareholder.

      • ShawnKemp

I never said he was son of the football club's shareholder.

        • 'sota

          You're a douche.

          • ShawnKemp

wow i just repeat what the french médias said
Everyone thumb down and insulted me
What great community you have there TheChive…
            anyway, go on, I just don’t give a fu*k:)

  • :,D

    Faith in humanity + 1

  • Steven B

jees, be more vague in the titles so im at least somewhat surprised in the video.

    • TommyD

I always make it full screen when I show other people so they can't see it. I agree, I wish there was a way to hide spoilers and still be intrigueing enough for people to click.

  • AlbusQ

Mad props to the opposing team. That's respect. Pretty heartwarming

    • CDR

You beat me to it. I agree 100%.

    • thedude325

That's real sportsmanship if I've ever seen it.

  • DrewskiDrew

Another step towards faith in humanity being restored

  • Foolish

And that is Reason 200002 that Soccer will never make it in America. Gaudy that a wanna be Pro Sport would allow a Minor to play ,regardless if the game is nearly over. i could never imagine Koby Bryant allowing that kid to make a Basket in a real game.

    • Schubasteve

Instead of enjoying a positive moment you had to be negative….

    • MattKL

Thanks for your input, Buzz Killington.

    • rawr

thats because kobe bryant is a douche..regardless of what you think soccer is already thriving in america. Great argument though..

      • Frank

South America and Central America. Not so much in North America

    • Dennis

… no Koby would be out cheating on the mom

    • Steve

It was his testimonial. It's a tribute to the mans career, therefore not a 'real game' and nothing to do with letting a minor play. It wasn't an official game. It is no different to letting little kids on the field during the home run derby at the all-star game. I never comment on videos the chive post, but the sheer ignorance you have demonstrated here has compelled me to put you in your place. Football/Soccer/Futbol is the worlds most popular sport. Stop being so ignorant.

      • Brandon

It's only letting me hit the thumbs up once.. damn

    • snooze

The reason that it's not played in the US is because: no commercials, no cheerleaders, there's too many rules, they gave a terrible name to it (soccer), they can't use their hands, their teams suck big time and they're too fat to run around for 90 minutes. Now enjoy watching NFL = National Fat-asses league/handegg and left turn only racing(nascar).

      • OnOneWheel24

        Haha true story

      • Dan

Too many rules?! it has 2 real rules, offsides (which is the only tough rule) and don't touch it with your hands.

      • Capt. Bo Jengles

I can't help but wanna elbow you in the throat! Have you ever watched (American) Football? I mean really, yea sure the ol boys on the line got some pounds but 90% are in top physical shape and would snap any of your grass fairies in half…:/

        • potato

NFL players are pussies, they wear helmet and armor. Rugby is where it's at, no helmet no armor and no teeth. haha butthurt

    • ItsCalledFootball

It's called football not soccer you bawzack. And no one in the football world cares is you septics take football up.

    • Firsttimeseriously

This video, starting at 3:04, is why you're wrong. Soccer might never make it in the U.S., but it will be for other reasons. The difference is, in the U.S. we don't have to play along and let the kids win. Sometimes, kids in the U.S. are just awesome. Seriously, watch this kid dribble through his legs, and then get a legit steal.

      • http://www.facebook.com/usanchezfe Ulises Sanchez

This is where you're wrong. Watch this 14 year old PROFESSIONAL in the U.S.

Skip the youth stuff, go about 2 minutes into the video (in the beginning he's playing against kids his age). Watch him play vs professional players trying to take him down. There's kids like him everywhere in the inner cities. I'm in 2 adult rec league teams in Los Angeles, CA and we have a 13 and 15 year old in one team and I have a 12 year old in the other. These kids are playing vs full grown men who get PISSED that a kid is running circles around them and juking them, thus making them look stupid. In order to avoid cheap fouls the kids have to smart and become even better with their feet and think ahead of plays. There's a place for soccer/football in this country. Just look at the growth of Major League Soccer in the last 5 years…

    • Lou

Who wants to hear a story about a bridge?

    • Merica

It's called a testimonial fucktard. It's not a real match. It's a retirement party, and you're fucking idiot.

    • Da Sandman

and that is reason 100000000000000000000000000000001 why the whole world hates you and your country:-)

    • anon

If this took place here it'd be like the south park episode where the kids get destroyed by the opposing hockey team.

  • Perrinnation

Now that was cool and really sweet. Y'know what is really sad? This could NEVER…EVER…happen in America's 4 major sports. The uptight commissioners of each of the sports wouldn't allow it.

    • Emmanuel

I don't think that it would be allowed in western Europe neither, football is a pretty big deal and federations are strict.

  • Clapoti

It's not his son, they don't even have the same name😉

    • justin

well the kid could just b wearing another players jersey or watever

      • ShawnKemp

        it's not his son
        Look at my comment above

  • Joel

Something you'll never see in American professional sports.

WHY DO ALL THE OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE FRIENDLY MATCHES!?

    • justabill

Because they don't understand the concept of sports. You play to win the game.

      • hello please

Because they understand the meaning of the word "game".

    • Unfkngblvbl

Why do futbol fans riot the field and try to kill people?!

      • https://www.facebook.com/damonaco Daniel Angelo Monaco

And chant racists slogans, and stab people in the parking lot, and overturn cars. There's a sports riot in Canada/ America maybe once every few years. They practically lock the city down in Europe after a soccer game.

        • http://www.facebook.com/usanchezfe Ulises Sanchez

Sound like what happens in Downtown LA when the Lakers win the Championship. And everyone goes "playoffs are the best! the atmosphere, the passion, the celebrations…" It's the exact same thing only that soccer is so awesome that it doesn't even need playoffs to get people riled up.

        • ItsCalledFootball

Honestly you septics will believe and spout any old gibberish won't you?

        • Chiver

You clearly have never been to an Eagles game…that or you are an Eagles fan. They shout racist remarks, fight, and they boo'd and then threw snowballs at Santa!!!

    • Duh

Pre season/spring training would be the equivalent of a friendly

    • http://www.facebook.com/usanchezfe Ulises Sanchez

There's friendly games to play games between teams (clubs or countries) that would never happen during other scenarios. The USA national team would never play Brazil unless they happen to meet in the world cup tournament every 4 years. Friendlies allow USA to play Brazil in a match that doesn't count towards world cup qualifying or anything else. (qualifying is based on your region) Since a Friendly match has no consequences coaches can tinker with the line ups, formations, strategies, integrate new players into their system and other things before they try it out in an official tournament and find out it wouldn't have worked so well.

    • leoJ

      because other countries are "friendly"

  • justin

thats awesome and everyone there is awesome

    • danallard

      and you're awesome too, Justin!

  • Lowrent75

That is so very cool to do. Kudos to those involved. Just a special display of awesome.

  • Guest

Kids suck and people that have them need to stop. Ramming them down everyone's throat. They're not for everyone.

    • The Woim

Somebody needs to seriously hug you and tell you ; "it's not your fault!" over and over again.
      Douche.

    • Boozer

Me thinks the human race depends on it…twit.

    • MattKL

      Troll is trolling.

    • Brandon

Too bad your mom didnt think the same way before she had you

    • soap

you where a a kid at some point to dumb ass. if you didnt want to watch a little kid do that learn to read and dont click on the video

    • Rye

Somebody wasn't breast fed or hugged enough

  • shackleton

    that's just chivetastic.

  • RyanRidesMTB

This is fantastic, but I'm pretty sure this kid just shit all over his amateur status.

  • kidn

    who's judith

  • http://twitter.com/JessicaSchor @JessicaSchor

oh my word this is so sweet.

  • Sucker I am not

No thanks. I sent my US1000 dollars to Africa Republic Bank National so that I can claim 20% of an inheritance of US1,500,000,000 dollars. It's a shame there was no one to inherent that amount of money. Strange, that seems to happen a lot over there.

  • tv_paul

I thought I saw a foul near the goal, but the kid was great and Kudos to both teams for this act of kindness.
