I live in california, not by choice. Im in the coast guard. I grew up in missouri and every time i send out any of my bills i cringe at the ammout of money i have to shell out to live here. How is a state that costs this much to live in so far in debt???

Got out of Cali just before the crash and couldn't be happier. Bought a beautiful historic home in GA on acreage that will be paid off shortly. At some point sitting in traffic 4 hrs a day living with 5 room mates and being a debt slave just isn't worth it, but to each his own.

yeah but who the fuuuuck wants to live in Fort Wayne over SoCal? Have you been to SoCal? Maybe not LA with smog, traffic, etc, but from Carlsbad to San Diego is about the finest stretch of land you can find any where.

When I was in San Diego, I went to Coronado and found an empty lot half a mile from the beach (in between a hotel and a grocery store) 7001 square feet. Asking price was $1.995 million

Makes me so glad that I live in Oregon! The soon to be Socialist State of California is emulating what the U.S. government has been doing to the country, only in an accelerated pace.
