FML, I need to live on a lake (38 Photos)

  • Larry

#2 would be perfect with some jet skis next to that platform

    • Grant Whittenberger

That house is in Marble Falls, TX. I rented it last winter for a retreat.

  • James Ramos

#33 Thats a baby making room right there!

    • GernBlansten

Not if you stuff it in her butt.

      • LoneOsprey

I am laughing way too hard at your comment.

        • thebuha

i'm with LoneOsprey with that one. histerical.

Forget living near a lake…just live on a sail boat and leave the shore behind.

  • Jake

    Lake schmake…

  • Winston

    #18 isn't the most appealing… lol

    • Ned_Plimpton

It was actually my favorite… Love the stairs leading to the water & all the windows.

      • Unfkngblvbl

nope, #19 same house, not supposed to be like that, but it appears to be prepared for it.

      • GernBlansten

It's the same house as #19 but during a flood. so no, the stairs don't normally lead to the water. Too bad though, it would be a cool feature.

    • Static

that water is REALLY muddy for a lake… looks to me like its a flood

    • Iso

The same as #19 (but without the flooding).

The Chive needs to do a "vacation for the poor man" post.

    • Molly Jones

YES This sort of post screams to my inferiority complex!

      • NOLA

Agreed on the poor man vacation post

    • YaYo

No kidding. Something like "Can't afford half the shit you see on here? Check out Omaha…it's kind of cool, I guess"

  • HandicapParking

    Exactly. No handicap access.

  • Cool story bro

    #6 #14 #15 Gaius Baltars house? anyone?

    • GernBlansten

It seems to be missing a mushroom cloud in the distance, and Tricia Helfer wandering around mostly naked….

      • Muadieb

I see what you did there. Correct!

    • drew

I love the reference, but I was actually going to comment on the same 3 photos. I'm fairly certain that house is on shockingly beautiful lake in Switzerland called Walensee. I'd highly recommend anyone taking the train from Zurich to Vienna if ever you get the chance…

  • nolechiver

I can see why Taylor Morris wanted a house on the lake.

  • John

Whats the status on Taylor Morris's lake house?

  • No Really

#35 How do you buy that 'plot of land'?

    • Unfkngblvbl

you buy the land next to it and own part of the waterfront. This is a really nice boathouse/guesthouse.

    • Ferguson

Somebody left a big turd right off your porch there…

      • Koont

        Ferguson makes a 'turd' comment…..Ahhhhhh! 🙂

  • Falthor

#18 and #19 both remind me of the house from "The Mechanic" great flick and more then definitely a house I'd love to live in.

  • sean

#18 not sure if lake or flood.

  • Adam

I feel like these aren't even real

  • Jim

Definitely a Sith Lord living in #7

  • B Dub

#1 By far the best looking place to be able to shed the stress of the work week. Keep Calm & Cabin On….

    • djp

      Good call, B Dub.

Simple; a dock, a ramp, a balcony. Location, location, location. Give me some music and an opportunity to kick back.

    • Quailman

so much better than all of those 'modern' boxes.

    • Guz

That's at Pooley Bridge on Ullswater in the English Lake District. Lovely place, but the photo's really well taken.

  • Macro

    #6 #16 #33 Winners. Hands down.

    • motojunky27

Definitely, though I would add #10 in as well

  • iXOredheds

#35 looks like it just might be a floatin away in the right storm
