: The street-legal 911 RSR by Champion Motorsports is based on the Turbo S. Basically, a 2011 911 has weight reduced and two VTG turbochargers have been installed to produce 575hp. The cost is just shy of $400,000.

They have a website called theThrottle that's devoted to cars, and I'm pretty sure it's been around just as long as theChive. That's why people are complaining. While I like the car posts too, it's still what theThrottle is for.

Based on Lamborghini's rich history of winning races? Hardly. This 911 would eat a 1200 hp Gallardo alive. Mostly because it would actually finish the race.

Yeah I do agree with you but I dont road course cars. We freeway bomb from about 60 in 3rd here. We've smoked 800hp 911's in my friends 1000hp f-body Im sure it would be even worse w/ a 1200hp lambo against 575hp. By the time id let off at about 180 the porsche would practically be out of sight. I should have been more specific in my post as to what I would use it for.

Yes,fine however that is not what the 911 is for. The UGR Gallardo kicks ass in top speed sure. However the stock 997 GT2 RS Does nurburgring in 7:18 and that is the kind of driving these are built for. I actually work at a porsche tuning shop and have been in the ugr car. And the ugr car needs B16 fuel to hit those numbers and finally other than werks you can get WAY WAY WAY more power from a 997 tt using non vtg turbos. Both are awesome though for totally different uses.
