It's unique alright. Reminds me about those magic markers for kids where you draw with the "invisible" ink first and then use a regular colored marker and the image appears.

What I don't understand is how come it's projected to their clothing and not the wall? Is their clothing coated with that "special paint"?

    • wimpy

Im pretty sure this is bullsh!+….

      • Ned_Ryerson

not bullshit. it's just a software program that the duo created that tracks the custom made brushes (that have built in sensors) and projects their pre-made video collage wherever they decide to "paint". it's all legit, pretty damn amazing really. there are tons of stories about it.

        • TakeOffYourPants

Did no one notice this is a stop motion animation? It's trickery. You're prolly over-complicated it yourself….

Pretty cool. I wonder if it's a movement forward in the thing Roger Walters uses when he performs The Wall. Every time another brick was laid it started to be projected upon.

    • Duh

      Roger waters

  • kyle

if you look theres a little tripod projector in half the locations. thats y its on his clothes (dont know how he does it though)

  • Ben

Probably there is an infrared led in the paintbrush, by using something like a wii remote or a kinect and a laptop/computer who picks up the location.
Software is programmed to show video where the infrared has been.

Just sad that he didn't show the nicer parts of Belgrade, it's a beautiful city most of the thing he showed are the ruins from the NATO bombing.

  • Adriana

This is so genius! I love that now you and do this in the most sacred of places and nothing is damaged in anyway, I can't wait for this to go to the next level. I'm thinking The Coliseum in rome or something crazy like that

  • mico

Thanks for the song info Patrick. But a slight correction on the Artist name for anyone trying to find the track. the artist is ESKMO. there is no "I".

        Cheers, KCCO

Trent reznor used this for NINs lights in the sky tour around 09. It's cool…..but, c'mon. It's nothing new. That whole projection mapping is more Impressive.

  • mico

Thanks for the song info 🙂

  • dylan

i think its prolly a simple green screen effect. its pretty awesome to show it as hes painting it if that is what it is.

Sounds pretty good…for as long as your willing to leave the projector there. Sooooo, the art is only going to be seen for ooooooh and hour?
