I bought an 05 STi brand new off the floor when I was 19. Beat the hell out of it and then sold it at auction when I couldn't afford it anymore lol..

doesn't matter if you drive the piss out of them. Subarus are epic, every single one of mine I've gotten over 210,000 miles out of.
They just last, they're awd, so they're awesome in the snow, and they're sooo much fun!

Really? Because I've owned a built STI, now own a Lexus ISF with a naturally aspirated V8, and it is faster than any STI that doesn't have at least 10k in mods in the engine bay

The salesman that sold me my STI told me he raced his 2010 Corevette against a WRX and lost. His car has a V8, the WRX only has a flat 4. I'm sorry but these little cars are absolutely amazing. They're great in snow, rain and handle like a dream. On the highway, I get nearly 30 mpg and I can accelerate from 50 to 80 in the blink of an eye. If this is what BETA is like, I'll keep it, thank you!!!

i believe it can beat a v8 for sure. i have a '10 wrx with a downpipe and tune. 0-60 in about 4.7 sec, very fast and fun little car for sure. I will take my little AWD over a 4×4 anytime

Umm, they are actually race cars, that's what the pics are of. That's why they all have the same paint job. Will they beat a Corvette on dry pavement? No. But they'll beat any other car on wet pavement, mud, or lose dirt if you know how to drive.

I've gone places with my stock 95 impreza that lifted dodge rams and jeeps couldn't go.
I've also pulled trucks out of snowbanks with it as well.

Comparing symmetrical AWD (Subaru) to a conventional 4×4 setup (any truck with front diff and transfer case) is comparing apples and oranges.

You sir, are an idiot. Stock 06 0-60 is under 5 seconds (quicker than a Porsche) and can handle off road conditions with ease minus the terrain that require a lifted suspension. Mud, Snow, Rain, Ice = no problem for a Subaru WRX. I personally own a truck and love it, but the WRX is a completely different Animal. It's also the only 4Cyl I'm happy to say I'd own. The flat 4 is an amazing motor capable of serious power numbers (Call up Crawford Performance anytime) that would smack the hell out of a lot of V8 cars including the Mustang, Vette, Camaro, Chally and so on, on the strip and definitely on a track with twisties. Like I said, I love my V8's (currently own a 4th Gen Ram Hemi w/ 425HP at the crank, I have more than just a K&N intake) but I have a lot of respect for the WRX and even the older EVO. Their small motor size, power and handling produce numbers you simply can't ignore.

#12 is not a WRX, it is a 2.5RS . It might have a rex engine, but the body is 2.5RS

Its actually a 22B that was used in rally. Carried the 2.2Sti Engine for world rally up untill year 2000. Same shape as the RS. Both Awesome Cars!!

False. That's the Impreza WRC car, learn your history son. And the WRC Imprezas always had 2.0 liter engines, only the 22B road car had the 2.2 liter.

Not only that, but STi's have always had 2 litres in Japan. And the WRX STi has been produced since 1995 int he GC body style, aka 2.5rs here in the US. Not all cars are the same between countries bro, get cultured up!
