Wildlife crossings or “animal bridges” are a great solution to help animals safely bypass traffic that cuts through the heart of their natural habitat.
The idea behind these are awesome but i live in Alberta where we have many of these and predators have also realized this is where prey crosses. So they just sit and wait…

Yeah – this particular one (#1) is about 15 miles outside of where I live. I have friends that live in the area that now have to keep their dogs inside because of increased bear/mountain lion activity. They have a couple of kids, which is the real worry. They were amazed at how quickly the predators seemed to figure it out that it was a funnel point. Took less than a couple months to see a noticeable increase.
