19 year-old Formula 2 race car driver Dino Zamparelli narrowly avoids a potentially fatal crash by swerving out of the way at the last second in the blinding rain. The race car was going nearly 150 MPH when he avoided the collision.

    i hope he gave his pit crew a spray over the radio for not telling him where the tail end of the safety car line was (you can see the yellow flag and safety car sign at 0:06)… bloody good reflexes though!

    "And he moved up like 5 Position!" Its is surprising because that is the most amount of position change seen in an open wheel race in years!!! At least in NASCAR positions shuffle and drivers pass on another more than 3 times in an entire race! At least NASCAR isnt as unreal boring to watch as an F1 of F2 race… snore!

    He actually noticed earlier than you think. Visibility is way better that what the cameras show you. Look about two seconds before he swerves, he has already lifted the throttle, because he saw the extra spray and the tire tracks twist. He was just expecting to take evasive action, the accident didn't took him by surprise.

    And yes, this is good weather on SPA.
    And yes, this is not NASCAR; they don't race if there is morning moist.
    And no, this is not powersliding (like some idiot has said), he just lost the rear on the grass and got it back with opposite lock and throttle.
