And you can connect the ps3 controller you alreay own to your android phone via bluetooth and use it as a game controller for many games on the android market.

I'll have to see more…doesn't sound like it has much potential for huge blockbuster games. Just a bunch of smaller independent games that are fun for like an hour. Idk maybe i'm wrong and a big group will take on something much larger and surprise me.

So its an Android Phone, minus the Phone, Touchscreen, and Battery, then added a controller and calling it a console? Why not just make a device plugged into the TV, that an Android phone can connect to via Wifi to display its screen on the TV and in return receive the controller inputs from? All you then need to do is write a bit of Benchmarking software to use on phones, to determine if a game is capable of running on the phone in question. Then for the Devs, just have hardware specs for the more popular android phones available.

Well, it would be nice if it catches on and they release Bluetooth Controllers and Drivers for the regular Android phones for the Wireless Controllers. That way, one can just hook their phone up to the TV and grab the Controller to play party games released on the Android Market. IF they get the online gaming and off-line multiple controller games developed at least.

I wish the best for this system, but to state that the current console system is closed to people is untrue. As a game reviewer, I get the play zero budget Indie games all the time. 95% of them are very bad, but they are there (ex: avail to buy on XBL and PSN). These are available for Android. Great. WHICH Android? The one that will be obsolete tomorrow? Open source is a slippery slope. That's why I stopped developing in Linux long ago.
