" I don’t want to punish anybody, but there are an extraordinary number of people who I might want to kill…I think it would be a good thing to make everybody come before a properly appointed board just as he might come before the income tax commissioner and say every 5 years or every 7 years…just put them there and say , ‘Sir or madam will you be kind enough to justify your existence…if you’re not producing as much as you consume or perhaps a little bit more then clearly we cannot use the big organization of our society for the purpose of keeping you alive. Because your life does not benefit us and it can’t be of very much use to yourself." – George Bernard Shaw

    Fucking asshole.

    #1 Because that's NOT living.

    • Steohawk

Is living the opposite of being happy? If not, then I accidentally gave your post a thumbs-up.

#1 No, at first glance I did not think hes pathetic. Just because he enjoys things that the majority doesnt, does not make him pathetic. Youre all judgmental assholes

  • Zuke

Most of these are awesome, but I think #10 is probably the one that rings most true to me.

    • Zuke

Shoot, and I almost forgot #1; thinking someone's pathetic and thinking they're odd are two different things. Yes, I believe chances are that the man is probably pretty strange. Do I think he's pathetic? No, to me something being pathetic means that something is so bad it literally makes me feel bad that it exists. Heck, I don't even know if a *person* can be pathetic in my mind, only things they do can be pathetic.

Plus, for all I know the guy *is* perfectly happy, and as a person who believes there is no point to life, and thus the point is to live as happy and fulfilling a life as possible, to me that would mean the guy is better at life than I am. I'm still a pretty unhappy guy; unlike him I have yet to find any permanent comfort, so I'm certainly in no position to comment on his lifestyle.

I read a really good one the other day:

"Good judgement is the result of experience; experience is the result of bad judgment."
