No. Jupiter is only 40 times larger than the moon. The moon is just 1/2 degree in size. This means Jupiter would be 20 degrees across in the sky…exactly as shown in the picture. I did that artwork and did the research behind it.
(And, no, it would not engulf the eart if it were at the same distance as the moon. Jupiter would have to be half a million miles in diameter for that to happen…and it's nowhere near that big.)
