    Why do these exist??????

    • Si1entStatic

So some pathetic rich kid can say "Look at me I can afford crap like this. Will you sleep with me now?"

      • knotmee

wrong. so that people in the middle east can have watches. go to the emirates or s arabia sometime. there is a patek phillipe or hublot or audemars store on every block. remember, money is on a whole different scale to the middle eastern upper class.

        • thedude325

Haha yea, if you want to see someone blow money on the most ridiculous shit, goto Saudi Arabia or Dubai.

    • Jennifer

Yes they do.. They all exist! personally I have seen a few. People don't see them just because they are usually limited production and VIP only. Even if you have money company won't even sell it to you unless you qualify for them. Like if you already have a few of their other watches, and some grand complication. So if you randomly walks in they won't even show bother to take them out from the safe to show you. Some of these are much cheaper if you just buy the new regular production.

You write pretty well but your reading comprehension skills are rather poor.

So that you know who to mug

    • Misfit7734

Patek Phillipe Henry Graves Supercomplication Pocket Watch Exists because of a competition between two gentleman to see who could have a watch with the most complications. It is a technical marvel.

      I use the sun

  • WTFbob

    Bob… What the fuck

  • myself

#1 #6 While horribly opulent, they are really cool. Mechanical watches are just so damn intricate.

    • Djokovic

#6 is endorsed by Rafael Nadal. Since it weighs under 20 grams, (less than 1 oz) he wears it during his tennis matches.

      • Nateb123

Different watch. This is the all sapphire Felipe Massa edition. Nadal's is so light it floats though. Pretty sick. And apparently a hooker stole it off him after a night of partying lol.

  • theysone

Pfft, these have nothing on my CASIO.

    • Ale112

      True that best watch ever

    • black27696

As far as keeping time and showing the wearer what that time is….no they don't. Actually the casio (if it's digital) is probably more accurate.

      • just me

No way, you have a digital casio I am sooo jealous

    • assman

fuck yeah, PATHFINDER…any tool with these watches will surely be dead in a matter of days if left to nature. My watch is solar and adjusts nightly to an atomic clock

all these watches are so ugly for how much they cost

  • fresh.ta.death

If you can afford any of these, piss off, and donate some scratch to Farrah. Just sayin.

    • https://www.facebook.com/sirplease Christopher Calloway

Just because they're rich, they should piss off? Great attitude, bro.

      • BWilly

Gotta play up that wealth envy card.

        • Doug

Buddha once said that health was the greatest gift, and contentment the greatest wealth. He who envies does not obtain peace of mind.

    • whiskaleafa

i was actually about to say basically the same thing.. the only one that looks decent is #6.. and yea if i had the money to waste on one of these hideous watches i would donate it to the survivors in aurora

  • Gsuss

I'd rather employ a model to tell me the time

    • Shane

      Like a sir

    • hwath

      No shit.

    • just a pesant

you sir are a hero amongst men, I grovel in your awesomness

    • bob

      Not with your tiny cock!

    • STL Mike D

You my friend are a wise man!

  • tehbox

as someone who appreciates the pretty amazing technicality of mechanical watches, some of these are super expensive because they are extremely rare, by companies that have been around since B4 the US was a country……the ones full of diamonds are complete crap.

    • DDD

i dont care how technical any of them are, they are NOT WORTH that price tag…… no matter how amazingly technical they are… whats sad is people actually buy them..

    • http://www.facebook.com/emily.gosling Emily Celeste Gosling

At least you could sell off the diamonds when you realize what a horrible, horrible mistake you've made.

    • truth

These are pieces of jewelry that just happen to tell time. They are bracelets; status symbols for people that value their perceived worth through objects that define them. A Casio, Timex, my old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle watch…all could tell time more accurately than these 'watches'.

      • Si1entStatic

I like the non-bashing truth…… thumbs up for you sir….

    • Si1entStatic

Love wearing my Fossil watch….. besides if you did buy one of these watches it would never leave the display case. they would just put a "owned by some Jack-off" sign next to it.

    • socalmarti

Agreed #23, the mechanics and the history on this style alone are woth the price tag if you can afford it!

  • Internet Superhero

Anyone that buys these is clinically insane and should be euthanized for the good of humanity.

    • Si1entStatic

I volunteer you as the test subject to make sure the process works. Can't have a super rich person survive and sue us now…….

  • nice one

still have to change batteries and bands will go to shit pretty quick…..pfff
Seiko Kinetic – 16yrs old same band no batteries ftw

    • just saying...

      These watches won't have batteries

      • just asking

        what would they have then?

        • Kawickstrom

They are mechanical watches. Powered by the movement of your wrist.

          • thought so

            like the Kinetics.

            • just saying...

The movement would wind up a spring rather than charging a battery as it does on the kinetics.
Some may also be manual, where the spring is wound by turning the crown.

My first 2 Chive posts, I love this site.

          • LOU

well they would be pretty well charged with all the fapping im doing watching the chive

  • Mad Hatter

    I'll stick with my Suunto

  • https://www.facebook.com/luke.a.mcdaniel Luke McDaniel

Just one of these will make some pickpocket very happy…

    • fotnot

the pawn shop will still only give you $16 for it though. haha

    • Taco_Depot

there's probably a million hoops to jump through just to buy it. i'm sure it'd get tracked down somehow, somewhere. like trying to pawn off a piece of art you stole from a museum.

  • tom turbo

The best of these are far more beautiful and well engineered that some of the skanky apparitions in yesterdays burn your bra.

    Though not so affordable.

    • Gonasipaherpalitis

      Fuck off, were full.

  • Harmonica33

    #6 and #21 look awesome.

    • Poke4Life

These were my picks as well. Aesthetically fantastic!

  • RealZoo

Timex watches can keep time just the same and they are affordable. Just sayin'…

  • SoL

I like how it is basically impossible to actually tell time on any of these.

    • http://www.facebook.com/tom.moss.9406 Tom Moss

who the hell cares what time it is when you (for some ungodly reason) own one of these? O its money
thirty? I think ill have more Pasión Azteca, Platinum Liquor that costs 3.5 mil a bottle or go buy another yacht, or what ever else stupid, stupid, stupid rich people do with their lives.

    • jsdfjads

why? because you dont know where the numbers on a clock are located?

  • Bill Boner

Now to find their copy brand

  • davey

my $25 timex does the same thing

    • Nateb123

A $25 timex just says "I look like a hobo and think my clothes are 'comfortable'". Are your shoes from the gas station?

  • lttido

I'll take #1 and #6, you can keep the rest

    • cool

I agree, however if I had to choose between the two, #1 would take the cake in a heart beat, it has such an interesting design

  • bukssna

Patek Philippe is some bad mutha fucka!

  • https://www.facebook.com/ben.cox.5661 Ben Cox

Now if #21 could be a little cheaper that would be amazing. By cheaper I mean $4,599,400 less.

  • p$d

it took a bit, but i managed to masturbate to these.

    • bob

      Fucking perv

    • Megan

      Haha I'm a girl and I laughed

  • JJL

You guys are missing it. The people who buy these buy them as an investment, just like putting a million in a mutal fund. If you have 100 million, it's not easy to put that somewhere safe. A 50 yr old Patek watch will probably hold its value better than the stock market would.

    • guest

Absolutely. A blue chip investment that you can USE if you choose and still expect to make money on. Not to mention that with the exception of the few really flashy ones most of these don't flash a really expensive look. What you're paying for is inside the watch anyway. Now I have a good bit of high end mechanical watches (nothing this expensive) and I wear them with no fear of anyone even noticing them (although over the years a few people have). And anyone who would like an exotic car would like one of these watches for the same reason.

    • MrN00DLE

Good point. Afterall, it takes money to make money.

    • Turd F.

I get it exactly. I just don't want to blow $5 million on something I can fall down and break, or worse, be mugged for.

      • JJL

I would bet these go directly to a safe and never worn. For them to hold their value, they must be in perfect condition. People see these as works of art, and given the amount of time that goes into making most of them, I would agree.

    • nateb123

Ummm….no. These aren't investments. They don't gain value 99% of the time. Those old Pateks are the only exceptions because they're already 100 years old and are now super rare.

      • Jason

Did you know 99% of all stats on the Internet are bullshit? You just proved point actually. You said that old Pateks are the exception. Well when the new Pateks become old, they rise in value. That's kind of what an invest is. And these are all rare watches. They are hand made and not mass produced. If a watch is over a million, usually there are less than 20 made.

  • Greg

Damn, I thought I was living' large when I upgraded to a "Relic"!

    • Brian

I know right, make my Graham of London look like peanuts…
