Lucky man rescued from the clutches of death (5 Photos)

People fail to realize that the man suffered from a stroke recently and was unable to escape himself… But everyone knows everything these days from a single pic.

This works for Soldier, Marine, Airman, Seaman, Police Man and Firemen

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

    "Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To my Church have you been true?"

The soldier squared his soldiers and said,
    "No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
    Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
    And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
    That wasn't mine to keep…
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills just got too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
    And sometimes, God, forgive me,
    I've wept unmanly tears.

    I know I don't deserve a place,
    Among the people here.
    They never wanted me around,
    Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
    It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
    As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgement of his God.

    "Step forward now, you soldier,
    You've borne your burdens well.
    Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

    Thank you

…its just like anything, these men are hero's yes but theres just as many power trippin cops and ego maniac hose boys in uniform who ruin it for the rest of them…just earning the uniform dosnt make you a hero its how you act in it that counts..

    Good job guys!

I'm pretty disappointed in some of these negative comments about firefighters. To those few that think little of firefighters, you're welcome anyway. We'll continue to KCCO 🙂

    • Matt

By the way, the guy at 1:04 minutes in the video survived and is still on the job today Thank God for him and his family.

This happened in my town the story above fails to mention the neighbors sprayed him with a hose to keep the fire away until firefighters got there awesome people!!!

  • megan

It really saddens me that government officials can make 250k + a year for life and fire fighters, policemen, and teachers make next to nothing…

  • Wow

Everyone talking crap saying firefighters make too much and don't do anything makes me sick. My dad was a firefighter/paramedic and died doing it helping strangers for over 25 years. They get the time off they do cause half the time their days off are spent resting from their shift the day before getting up 7 times a night. I've found most people who talk crap generally have never used the 911 system, so they have no appreciation for it. Almost no firefighters or cops consider themselves heroes but they are constantly putting themselves in situations that 90% of people never would no matter how much money. And for the rest of my life I will not have my father around due to the sacrifice he made helping strangers.

  • MohawkJon

They risk their life for yours.

  • Matthew S

can we send him something as compensation for his loss?
