        yes, yes we are.

Anyway it makes as much sense as any other race distinction, which are based solely on a handful of genes related to outer appearance. But when you look at the whole genetic makeup of humans, there are no definable races at all.

Yep, and his favorite US President Was G.W. Bush. That should tell you something.

      • marc

        thats just a straight f'n lie…first of all – as if..and 2nd of all…Dalai would not pick a favorite anything…

        • mick0311

His favorite as a person, not President. He liked Bush very much. I should have been more clear, but there you have it. The subject was world leaders, and he could have picked any President in his lifetime, since he's met just about all of them, but he picked Bush.

      • marc

        haha..stupid Americans – thats just a straight f'n lie

    • bamboofloor

      Only poor people believe this.

      • tom

        That was Benjamin Franklin

      • bello

        what .. it isn't?

      • https://www.facebook.com/DannoRules Danno Maurer

That was Benjamin Franklin. Thomas Jefferson was a true patriot who believed that the sovereignty of power and law belonged to the people who would be affected by those laws and powers. And the fact that he owned slaves does not discredit him. The people who were affected by those laws did what Thomas Jefferson proposes here and disobeyed those laws. Ultimately change happened and the unjust laws were changed. We progress together or we drown in our own failures to do so.

        • fuck patriotism

Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel

      • Dumb Americans

        that was Benjamin Franklin. retard.

    • Pustulio

He also never said such a thing. That is a heavily paraphrased quote which doesn't accurately reflect the original intent (It seems to be the 5th sentence of the DoI + some MLK + simplifying).

A quote on the internet is always true… right?

      • usmc_chiver

"The trouble with quotes on the internet is that it's difficult to discern whether or not they are genuine." — Abraham Lincoln

      • Dex

This was stated in the Declaration of Independence. A signer/author of the Declaration of Independence? Thomas Jefferson. You sir, are wrong.

    • Dave

He was a fucking lowlife. the following is copied and pasted, but still true…

As governor of Virginia (1780–1781) during the Revolutionary War, Jefferson recommended forcibly moving Cherokee and Shawnee tribes that fought on the British side to lands west of the Mississippi River. Later, as president, Jefferson proposed in private letters beginning in 1803 a policy that under Andrew Jackson would be called Indian removal, under an act passed in 1830. As president, he made a deal with elected officials of the state of Georgia: if Georgia would release its legal claims to "discovery" in lands to its west, the U.S. military would help expel the Cherokee people from Georgia. His deal violated an existing treaty between the United States government and the Cherokee Nation, which guaranteed its people the right to their historic lands.

Jefferson believed that Natives should give up their own cultures, religions, and lifestyles to assimilate to western European culture, Christian religion, and a European-style agriculture, which he believed to be superior. He believed that assimilation of Native Americans into the European-American economy would make them more dependent on trade, and that they would eventually be willing to give up land that they would otherwise not part with, in exchange for trade goods or to resolve unpaid debts.

And to think some of you cunts think he was a great man.

      • Fook C Lee

So…he wanted the people who just attacked him and lost to be removed rather than just slaughtered like most any other enemies at the time. SMH. The 2nd paragraph is your own crying about perceived injustice. The Indians lost, GET OVER IT! Indians have been against this country since the beginning. Our founding fathers were not tree hugging hippies or passivise aggressive douchebags. They proved it by not putting up with any pussy bullshit, you revisionist whiny Ass. Its not like the Indians didn't take land from other Indians too. Like this was Utopia "before the white man" LOL!

        • anon. mouse

The Indians lost. Wow!! Hate to tell you, but this WAS their country ….. and the founding fathers were by and large land grabbing, greedy and amoral lawless bastards. They broke every agreement they ever made, and when that didn't suit them they killed all the indigenous that stood in their way.

Whether or not it was Utopia before your lilly skinned peasants turned up is academic; it was theirs to do with as they pleased. But in the relatively short thee hundred years you have taken what was once paradise and turned it into a sewer.

Not satisfied with that, you have spent the last 150 trying to fuck every other country whose name you can spell and do the same to them.

Believe me Fuck, sorry Fook, it's not the enmity of just the American Indian race you have to deal with. There is a whole other tribe out there that distrusts you, does not want you, does not want you brand of bigotry, your overeating, your overbearing hypocrisy and self serving interference. It's called The Rest of The World.

          • Ken Khan

god still loves you my child

          • Amon

Wow, I've never seen so much hatred for the US in one post. I don't know where you're from, but chances are the US is at a better standard and is probably helping you out economically.

            P.S. Murica!

      • a-nom

All of what you copied is entirely out of context. Go and do more research.

    • a-nom

You're dumb – I'm happy you picked one trite thing about Jefferson instead of all the things he did for the country AS WELL AS ALL HE DID TO HALT THE EXPANSION OF SLAVERY IN THE AMERICAS…but ya, he owned slaves and more than likely had relations with them…bravo…

      • wake up, time to die

It's funny how Americans get all pissed off when people dare to insult one of their foundation myth authors.

        • a-nom

I would get mad if anyone insulted anyone who deserves respect regardless of country or creed. You're obviously a twit who thinks all americans are inept or brainless. Congratulations, you're an idiot! I'm pointing out the ignorance in others to which you respond to with an additional ignorant comment…brilliant!

    • tv_paul

Folks, lighten up. I didn't want to make a political diatribe out of this. It was just an off the cuff remark inspired by the following

      • a-nom

hahahahaha! Touche sir…I've never watch that show…and I am now sad because of it

I think the word "douchebag", is thrown around far to lightly these days. If I'm a douchebag for being the most un-original troll for commenting "first", one would suggest you're the douchebag for not being able to leave it alone. Who's trolling you?

      • paulie

No no, you're a douchbag because you pride yourself in having nothing insightful to say other than "first"

        You're a douchebag ….
