If my eight year old could make music on the same machine with less than one hour of training it isn't impressive. I let him play with fruity loops one time and he was cranking this type of thing in short order. That being said, I liked it, but it's just samples.
Can argue all day on it being "music" or not, but its a pretty badass talent.
it seems I'm a DJ too, I do this every day with angle grinder!
It's sad that this is considered talent.
Madeon is MUCH MUCH better… Search Madeon "pop culture mashup" for something far more impressive…

I wouldnt sayh "true DJ skills" he aint spinning no records. hes a good programmer and can remember what buttons to hit. ALl who can type 60 WPM can be taught what he just did as it is just remembering what button corresponds with what sound just like this reply I had to remeber what button corresponds with what letter. As a man who has seen some sweet DJ's like Bad Boy Bill, Donald Glaude, Richard Humpty Vission and many more, this is not talent just a good memory

That was pretty sick.
Where's the wheels of steel?
Has the definition of "DJ" changed? It used to mean someone who spun, mixed, sampled etc vinyl records on the fly…meant having to constantly change records, find what you need, search, cue, etc etc, all very quick…not push play on a laptop that has a program to beat match everything for you or a button on a machine that has a prerecorded sound (just a midi keyboard with a different layout really).
Anyone else think today's busy ass music is a sign that all young people have add?
Looks like he is just hitting random buttons to me!
DJ = DISC JOCKEY. DISC = CDJs, turntables, or some sort of platter to manipulate and MIX two tracks together, not perform actual music. There is a huge difference between the two and what determines either as being skillful. Sick and tired of the public labeling anyone that outputs any sort of electronic music a "DJ". It really hinders those that actually practice and perfect the trade and skill of an actual DJ.
Nice work, but try doing that for 3-4 hours straight to keep a club pumping.
it was impressive, i guess. i personally did not enjoy the music. it seemed too wonky and without flow. it was like i know how to make sound A and then sound D and then sound G now i just go A – D – A -G oh my god im a musician… errr no. is he better than i would be? sure. would i illegally download his music? hell no, i'd rather pluck rubber bands for the rest of my days
The cheesy rave/pop/electro/dubstep is pure CRAP though.
MOAR!!!!!!!!!!! holy shit this is gooddddd…get this guy to do more
I don't believe this, and I'll tell you why. In the entire video there is no deviation in the tempo. Not that I don't believe he can do it. He obviously can. There's no way someone can push electronic buttons for 3 and a half minutes without the slightest tempo issue. He's doing it. He's just not doing it right then. Tempo correct – engage.
