Yellowstone has lots of baby-blue puddles, some as large as this lake…along with every other shade of colour you could imagine…

  • Mark

Marmora Mines, Ontario, Canada has water exactly that colour. It's from the high concentration of minerals in the surrounding earth. Super cool looking.

Turquoise water of the Blue Pond in Biei, Hokkaido, with trees growing straight in the middle of it makes this place look otherworldly.

  • JustTrollin

There are dead trees in the water, but it doesn't look like any of them are "growing" there, so there probably is something in the water…

I've seen something very similar in a polluted small creek that originates at an abandoned coal mine.

  • Average Joe

Sara Jean Underwood would make that pond even more beautiful. That is all.

Don't even need to travel as far as Costa Rica or Japan. It's called Banff, Alberta, Canada. Google Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and Peyto lake to name a few. Went there for my honeymoon. Most beautiful place on Earth!

  • ElZarbo

I live in Banff Alberta, this kind of lake is everywhere around here. Look up Lake Louise or Lake Moraine to see more spectacular blue water. Japan doesn't have a monopoly on weird lol.
