Good hike and beautiful lake. To bad people don't respect this gem. Last 2 times I have been there you have dumb people walking on the log across the lake, like the guy in this photo. Also people trash this place because of the volume of people that go there. I watched some lady's dog take a dump in the lake (no dogs allowed). I makes me so sick that people disrespect such places that I may never go back. Good thing I have secret places to go in Colorado that I don't need to go to this tourist trap.

The Yosemite "firefall" used to be done off of Glacier Point to coincide with the outdoor entertainment programs that were conducted nightly at Curry Villiage.This particular picture is of a special "firefall" that was done on El Capitan. There is an episode of "California's Gold" with Huell Houser shown on PBS that shows the history of this now extinct event in Yosemite.
