"I am first" – Tom
I forgot. "fuck Paula".
- Fan testimonial: "I don't know if you are in a mental institution, but you need to be."
That's your best reply? We have come to expect so much more from you.
Agreed. Though the testimonials are getting better with time.
Here, have a monkey with a gun for this amazing feat. #32 (I made sure the safety was off)
Quit tarnishing my name.
#24 Happy Tuesday, Chivers.
Such a let down after 'woman's point of view' pictures… i'd give up and re-start tommorrow as you can't possibly top it!
#1 I miss George Carlin. #17 Is the sad, sad truth…
Great Simpsons episode.. The pool!
That quote is not by Carlin.
#15 Damn King, that was deep.
I look just like the night time cat, on the dance floor
#29 So true. This has always bugged me about concept cars.
I asked my friend's son (employed at design engineer at Ford MoCo.) and he said that often the concept design would never meet safety specs and real-world tests. Concept cars are eye-candy for press junkets with really no real plans for production. I would have bough the concept version for an additional 5k if it was available.
Editors fail on this (On the part of whoever took the time to make the comparison and send it to Chive)
The bottom photo shows a 2010(or older) model. The top concept rendering photo came out in 2010 at the Geneva Auto Show. The top photo is for a concept look of the 2011(and newer) models. Therefore the photo on the bottom had already been in production before the concept vehicle was even released. There are MANY features that they did hit right on when they did finally produce the new body style Sonata. Just not as curvaceous. The lines, lights and overall shape are very similar to the concept rendering. Google pictures of the 2011 or 2012 Sonata and you will see… Clearly it doesn't look like a 2020 futuristic car, but they are still VERY sharp vehicles.
how do you know how cars in 2020 look like? Or have I been living under a rock that this year is 2020?
#31 is awesome…
Laughed a lot harder than I should have.
#18 ….. that's society these days. It's pretty fun.

Got to give it a good shake first, or use Chef, Heinz is shite.
RIP George Carlin!
#1 Says the incredibly wealthy, famous, multimillionaire comedian. But it must be true because OMG CELEBRITY!
Umm, u need to be schooled on Carlin man.
So school me then… did George Carlin live in a modest 1 bedroom apartment in a middle class neighbourhood and drive a 1987 Civic?
He was a man who badmouthed accumulating possessions while at the same time amassing a vast personal fortune, no different than Michael Moore making hundreds of millions of dollars off movies which decry capitalism.
For the record, I like Carlin and think he was pretty funny and spot on with a lot of what he said – I just call out hypocrisy when I see it.
Actually Carlin never really got all that rich. He lived comfortably, sure, but he had a cocaine habit that made sure he never really accumulated too much wealth. I'm not holding him up for worship causa that, but it does jive with the quote here.
Even once George sobered up (and I'm using that term relatively), he spent the rest of his life in debt. The people he'd left in charge of his money hadn't been paying his taxes, so George Carlin, one of the most counter-cultural figures in American history, actually spent the last decade and change of his life handing over just about every paycheck he got to the US government.
Dude was definitely a flawed character, I'm not denying that, but this quote is not hypocritical, sorry.
oh, poor guy, spends his millions on drugs so we should feel sorry for him? or should I feel more sorry that he amassed more debt because he didn't pay his taxes? c'mon, logic, where have you gone?
Oh for fucks sake. The people critisizing this legend are fucking idiots. If you knew anything about Carlin you'd know the whole foundation of his social comedy was "Fuck hope". He believed the world is beyond saving and it is only a matter of time before we tear ourselves apart. He stated numerous times that he did not believe he could change anything and was not trying to. He was at heart an entertainer that happened to write very thought-provoking material, not an idealist who thought he could change the world. Under that pretense, hypocrisy is irrelevent. And regardless, his contribution to the comedy world is perhaps greater than even Richard Pryor's and he has influenced so many people, teaching valuable lessons like thinking for yourself, questioning the status quo and not believing everything you hear. Besides, the guy wasn't a socialist. He deserves the money he made. There is nothing wrong with success, it is excess that he spoke out against.
And you know the worst thing about this post, THAT IS NOT EVEN A FUCKING QUOTE BY HIM!
So, smart guy, replying directly to me about calling him a socialist? Where did I call him that? I spoke about his EXCESS. And you said yourself that he spoke out again EXCESS. You and your tangental rant are misplacing your anger at a non-sympathizer for the plight of Carlin. Again, his excessive drug habit and lack of governmental responsibility brought him down.
I did not mean to directly reply to you, I don't post on these forums often. And it seems you missed the whole point of my little rant. He does not owe anyone anything. He was a comedian, not a political activist. His job was to make people laugh and educating them while doing so is enough of a social contribution alone. He fought the FCC in a giant legal battle that made enormous headway in reducing censorship and he opened a lot of peoples eyes to just how badly they were being fucked every day of their lives. What else do you want from him?
And what exactly makes his life so excessive? So he did some blow in the 80s. Which entertainer didn't? Did he go all Amy Winehouse on us? No! Don't judge the man based on some self-righteous, moral-superiority complex you seem to have. And his debts came from poor business decisions, mostly made by accountants he left in charge of his finances. So he pretty much got fucked by the same business world he spoke out against. Aside from that, I've never heard of him driving around in a Ferarri or wearing platinum jewelery or any of the other materialistic extremities so many celebrities are prone to.
You're expecting too much from a comedian and it's sad that you are dwelling on such trivialities while ignoring the tidal wave of positive influence, inspiration and education the man offered.
Carlin is one of my heroes. <img src="http://t.qkme.me/35umcx.jpg" width="350">
Bite your effing tounge when you speak of Carlin..
I believe he earned his money over a career spanning decades, going from city to city even at a
very old age and on very poor health, so yeah, he was a dumb, piece of shit celebrity…
Also, he didn't give a fuck about what people thought of him.
Also, he's dead so he couldn't even give less of a fuck for a comment on the internet, either accusing
or defending him, so pointless comment is pointless…
"I believe in doing at least 1 good thing every day.
Sometimes the only good thing you can do is not kill a person."
We miss you George.
People need to just suck it up and DO WORK SON!
Or go to work and Chive all day. #24
You are aware that, in the infinite life span of the universe, you will have only one chance to experience everything in existence, right? And that the time you have to do so is limited to the end of college and the eventual breakdown of your physical body? And now you tell me that I should spend the greater part of my waking hours toiling at a shitty job so some rich f@#ker can buy another yacht?
#12 I don't always armchair judge women's Olympic gymnastics but when I do, it's based entirely on how hot the girl is.
