#17 Wow, I can't believe how many people think its okay to be a rude pig in public. I'd always thought better of Chivers. I don't care who's "job" it is, it's rude. What's wrong with teaching kids consideration?

Wow. I can't believe how many people think this is the work of a rude pig. The photo supplier gives no evidence that this was actually the result of poorly behaved children. Or that it wasn't an accident. Of course, most restaurants will actually discourage customers from sweeping floors if and when a spill or overturned plate occurs, regardless of the cause. I've always thought Chivers were smarter.

Wow, I can't believe I get thumbed down for thinking people can stand to be more polite and considerate. I guess some Chivers are arrogant.

Arrogant? Perhaps. More likely just realistic. No one said we all can't be better people. What I specifically said was that there is no proof that this was done by children. The picture taker may have made an assumption, and we all know how that goes. Send me video of the naughty tykes in action and receive my agreement. However, for all we know, this wasn't the result of an intentional act and the restaurnat manager may have just told the customer "Don't worry about that. I'll have some one get it." I've actually seen that happen when parents start cleaning up after kids in restaurants.

Nothing wrong with teaching kids consideration and respect…except when they are 12 months old and don't understand the words coming out of your mouth to even comprehend the concept of such things.
