Y'all can change that, just do what you love and be around those that make you smile, no worries. Hope everyone has a good day… Btw, I'm a veteran that gave up a career, insurance for my daughter and I, and steady pay check to sink myself into hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of debt so I can hopefully be a doctor and go back into the Army and do more for the soldiers I once served with, and no, I do not get the G.I. Bill because I voluntarily ended my contract early so I can go to school. Just do what you love and the sacrifices made won't seem as harsh.

    • ezwelchman

I saw a story on this guy on Real Sports. Luckily i was alone cause I cried like a baby during the show. He is a bad ass and a great human.

    • Guest

The heck with "luckily I was alone" – this is one of the times clearly spelled out in the guy code where it's not only okay but actually manly to shed tears.

Shot to the 'nads? Suck it up. Story like this? Let 'em flow.

Great guy and a great story. 'course, with a name like that (Rick) he's got to be. 😀

    • Wisti

I was going through these right as my boss came in…and I was definitely teary eyed…So sweet and awesome 🙂

    • Joslin

I saw that one but I think it was actually a different guy? He had a son who was disabled (it might have also been cerebral palsy), and the wife/mother had actually left when the son was very young. His son liked it when he rang with him in a special chair, so the dad started running marathons. In his 50s or so he found out that he had a heart condition. The doctors said he would have died years earlier if he hadn't been in such amazing shape…thanks to his son.

  • ChicO85T

Excellent work Dad & Maddy. Respect to the whole family. Hugs.

    • Edwin Lopez

  • Busternut

No onions here, just tears. No words can express the respect I have for this guy. He's on a different plane.

    • Don Terry

Right there with you man. As a father I know the love he has for his daughter. As a man I have nothing but respect for this man and I cried like a little girl who's doll was just decapitated by an older brother.
