Erica and Matt Hogan from Colorado were searching for a property in Costa Rica when they found a slice of land being sold for deforestation. The couple purchased it, but instead of cutting down trees they started an amazing project.
-
The Hogans founded Finca Bella Vista – the community of people living in real tree-houses. These houses have everything one needs for living, including indoor plumbing, running water and fully operational kitchen.
-
Zip cables and bridges between the trees serve as a private transportation network. The village also has a base camp with main office and a community center that includes a dining hall, an open-air lounge, a 3G and Wi-Fi zone, a bathhouse and a fire ring.
