That was the coolest game HORSE ever.

  • Michael

They say everybody wants to be like Mike. Guess even Kobe does.

  • cory

michael jordan never raped anyone, so you have to take the in to account.

  • marcell

Kobe has always emulated MJ is he Jordan no but he’s the closest we will see to the great MJ!!

  • knotmee

this is not a side by side comparison. this is just clips of both of them making baskets. and kobe is a rapist douche.

  • gifftor

Also: more rings for Michael because he wasn't a selfish prick on the court. No question: MJ, FTW.

In an edited video, sure Kobe compares. In reality, hell no. Kobe isn't even the best Laker in history, let alone the best basketball player. If you swapped MJ and Kobe in history, you know what would have happened? MJ would have still won all his rings, but he would have had Shaq with him the whole time (whereas Kobe ran out one of the best centers of all time). And, Kobe wouldn't have won as many as he has because he would have run Pippen out of town, and been left with nothing.

Jordan himself said that the only man playing today that could be compared to himself is Kobe, he also specifically said that Lebron can't.

Whoevers last comment was that Kobe is the greatest of all time must of just taken a big hit of crack right before he made that statement! Don't forget the first 2 rings Kobe got he rode the bench while Shaq did all the work and was the focal point of the offense back then. No doubt Kobe is a beast but sorry not on the pinnacle up by Jordan!

lol Kobe rode the bench for his first 2 rings? He started every game averaging like 20pts a game for that first ring. Not to mention game 4 against Indiana in the finals Shaq fouls out in overtime and Kobe scores like 8 pts to get us that victory and put us up 3-1 in the series.

Kobe has better stats because MJ went to college. Never saw any of MJ's magic from Kobe.

  • Euroranger

I don't watch pro basketball enough to comment knowledgeably about which might be better but I will say this: Kobe didn't get years of college ball to prepare him for the pro game. From the little basketball I've seen, I think MJ simply occupied his level all by himself whereas with Kobe, he does have LeBron around to keep him company.

You gotta hand it to both Kobe and LeBron though: playing pro straight out of high school has GOT to be harder than having 3-4 years of college maturing under you.

It's not just about stats and a few similar baskets that makes you the best. Part of playing the game of basketball is leadership. MJ wins hands down!

This topic is better left for 8th graders…

This pretty much all comes down to who you grew up watching. I was the whitest kid in Suburban America rocking a Bulls Windbreaker to elementary school. Jordan was best, and everyone knew it. But as time progresses, so does the level of competition in every sport. Why do you think world records are broken at EVERY olympics? Look, to compare Jordan and Kobe is like comparing an Oldsmobile 442 to a Lamborghini Gallardo. They are both going to appeal to different people; for different reasons. You have a classic that comes with nostalgia and you have mass appeal to something new. As far as I'm concerned, they are both the greatest player ever, in the time period and level of competition they played in.

that is a sick video. I am a HUGE Kobe fan but I say they should both be considered the best of all time.

Not a chance! MJ = Best!

  • Tony
