The people that continue to listen to it are those who grew up with it. 300 years have passed and we still listen to Mozart and Beethoven. 40 years have passed since the Beatles and no one cares. Apple fought for years to get the Beatles Anthology on iTunes and finally got it. No one cared. They had a couple of catchy tunes and then dissolved into the background, literally and figuratively.
