I laughed hysterically at Tiber septum up there.

  • Tooshay

How do you make a sober man seem stoned? Sit him down in front of spongebob squarepants. That show makes everyone just glaze over as they slowly lose touch with reality.

    • @megantalks

In an amazing, euphoric kind of way…

  • MigraineBoy

#20 They call it "Helsinki syndrome"…

    • Charlie

Not sure if Die Hard reference….
      …. or just mistaken.

    • drphil

      in Sweden

    • MikeOverHere

Did you mean Stockholm syndrome, or is this a very subtle joke?

      Thank you, Richard Hammond.

    • MigraineBoy

In all honesty, I fucked up. It is Stockholm syndrome. Well played, Sir!

    • Leonardo

Is actually called "Stockholm syndrome". "Helsinki syndrome" doesn't really exists, it was a mistake that someone made on a TV Show and the a bunch of people begun to propagate the mistake.

      Helsinki Syndrome
A mental condition where the afflicted person is unable to distinguish between the countries of Sweden and Finland, despite the two being distinct from each other. This condition is usually a symptom of a lack of general geographic awareness.

This condition usually manifests itself when the sufferer attempts to convey the concept of Stockholm syndrome to others.
From the news channel in Die Hard:
Gail Wallens: Dr. Hasseldorf, what can we expect in the next few hours?
Dr. Hasseldorf: Well, Gail, by this time the hostages should be going through the early stages of the Helsinki Syndrome.
Harvey Johnson: As in Helsinki, Sweden.
      Dr. Hasseldorf: Finland.

      From Top Gear:
Richard Hammond: I finally understand what they mean by that, is it Helsinki syndrome, when people are being kidnapped, when they're released, miss their kidnappers.

      • dirtysteve99

I think you missed the Die Hard reference.

  • IRawdoggedyurgf

#11 Well to their credit, there was that one time when it actually was a cult of vodou were-cats.
Or that other time when it actually was the Loch Ness Monster.

  • r151

I laughed the hardest at #2. Funny that as a kid, you never even think about how illogical cartoons really are. They're just funny.

    • Andy Valentine

I believe the masks were to identify them from one-another, rather than to hide who they were. Kill joy, right?

      • loves sammiches

Yes. Because the letters on their belt buckles are just waaaaaaaay too cryptic.

        • Dr_StrangePants

          You're 4 years old.
          You can't Read!
I want my cartoon characters to be as colorful as a pride parade so i can tell the difference.

  • TheWizardofWoz

#14 – Hahaha. Never occurred to me, got a laugh out of that

    • ddd

      Jesus was a real person…

      • Frank

That lived 2000ish years ago. He couldn't still be alive to be met by Brian today.

        • JTW

Brian is a cartoon character, he probably doesn't really meet anyone, alive or not.

    • @PerfectHorizon

Atheists don't believe in God….Jesus has been scientifically proven to have existed….

      • videologic

scientifically proven to have existed? that doesnt even really make sense….

It seems likely that someone called jesus existed. But I think most atheists doubt that he rose from the dead, or did any of those miracles

        • Unjimable

Whether Jesus existed is questionable. It's quite possible that Jesus is actually an amalgam of several different gods and messianic figures given official deity status by Constantine at the first council of Nicea.

Regardless, a lot of what you know about him isn't true and was added to the New Testament much later. For example, the three oldest Bibles in the world (one of which is housed at the Vatican) make no mention of Jesus' resurrection and appearance to his disciples. In fact such stories don't start showing up till the 12th century and even then are marked with asterisks by scribes to denote their spurious nature.

This is rather awkward for the Church as 1. Corinthians 15:14 states:
"And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain"

      • guest

Yeah! and people still walk around today and tell crazy stories about stuff that defies all laws of chemistry and physics, and goes against common sense. Only now they are refered to as town drunks.

  • BigOtis

#7 Goofy is not a dog. Pluto is a dog. Goofy grew up too close to a nuclear power plant or some shit.

  • rebbie

    #4 I NEVER understood that…..

  • Pants

    • Miles

it's not tar … it is actually possible to have a pool of water at the bottom of the sea … it's created by the water pressure …

      • Bubba

Oh, tell me more. You must be fun at parties.

      • Y

if your going to be picky, at least be right.. its not created by water pressure, it is cause by two fluids having different density's.

        • Frank

I thought it was due to wizards.
