Chive, you should take this opportunity to educate people about what happens to neglected and abused animals. You are always posting postive animal posts. You have alot of fans that could rally behind animal welfare. It is good to see there was not alot of hate towards the dog, it was only a victim of terrible ownership and abuse from people. Dogs brought up in a loving and caring environment do not randomly attack people in the street. Use the power of the chive to promote helping abused and neglected dogs. there are millions of unwanted pets being killed in shelters every year. the Chive should help, you have a responsibility now that you posted this picture. along with your cat saturdays and dont say awe's throw in some post on homeless pets, they are who should be recieving attention along with all the pets on this site with homes already. good luck to the bit victim, and stay postivie.

Given that the dog is most likely a victim of terrible ownership or whatever, whoever owns the fucking thing now needs to take proper precautions. A muzzle at the very fucking least. Clearly they did not. It sucks and all, that an animal can be bred/trained/abused to be dangerous, but the animal needs to be destroyed. Simple as that. Owning an animal is a responsibility, not a right. Too many idiots don't realize this. It's a responsibility to keep your animal the fuck away from EVERYONE that you're not completely sure wants to be in contact with your animal, whether it's aggressive or otherwise.
