These guys are the truck class in the Dakar rally. The car class is ironically all trucks and SUVs. The truck class started out as support vehicles, but as they were being built faster every year to keep up with the actual rally vehicles, they ended up so fast that they became their own class. Obviously, they still aren't as fast as the car class, but they are awesome to watch.

My favorite ride is the venerable bicycle although my preference is one built for speed and distance. A great new bike according to all reports is one designed and fabricated by F1 engineers.
The Aston Martin One-77 Bicycle comes in a limited production of only 77 models and is ideal for serious cyclists for whom performance is of utmost importance. The One-77 bike is reported to sport a hefty price tag of £25,000 ($39,000). Every design decision reflects the desire to maximize efficiency. Unique innovations include the rigid, lightweight and compliant diamond form frame, with its unconventional twin vane design. Hydraulic brakes, concealed sensors and unique bespoke wheels create a machine that is lightweight, sleek, and perfectly balanced. Riders have a comfortable, highly ergonomic environment in which to perform, complete with laboratory-quality data about their riding thanks to multichannel ergono-metric data recording system.

The One-77 Cycle represents the pinnacle of British engineering prowess, with practically every component custom-designed and built in house by bf1systems – only the tires, bearings and electric gear system are off-the-shelf. Aston Martin’s extensive experience with design and craft is conveyed through the careful use of materials, from the rich, deep paintwork to the hand-stitched trim on the handlebars and saddles.
