instantly became my background
How can you tell?
Because of the pixels. And, because I've seen a few Tahiti's in my time.
If you have "seen a few Tahiti's in (your) time" and recognize this spot that is completely fair but if you are saying you know it is Tahiti based on picture quality (i.e. pixels) I say "challenge". This could easily be Hawaii, I don't know.
It is Teahupoo, Tahiti. Google it if you care enough to argue about it.
Its entirely possible its the Nepali Coast on Kauai
#12 cool, cool, cool
#1 Does anyone else see Chucky carved into the mountain?
I do now. Creepy.
scratch that place off my bucket list. thanks, tim.
I thought it was the Buddha.
crazy – yes.
to add – it looks like his arms are bent upward and he's resting his chin in both hands…
I thought it looked like the grinch
#20 So beautiful it's humbling.
Yes it is!
Can anyone tell me where #1 & #4 are? Amazing.
I meant #1 and #5….sorry
Well #1 is Reine in Lofoten, Norway.
I don't think so… Isn't that Gudvangen?
Yep… you're absolutely right.
#4 Bavaria Germany
Hi, Slovenia where?
Do you whant to know where is Slovenia or where in Slovenia this was taken?
Actually I know where Slovenia is (I leave close to Slovenia)…..I was asking where in Slovenia this picture was taken. thaks
Small village near Kranj, Jamnik.
#5 is stunning! I'm living too close to the equator for those beautiful, autumn colours.
#10 zombie apocalypse fortress
dont that pictures have copyrights?
I'd be a litlte pissed if one of my pictures would be here without any copyright or at least "found on http://wherever".
Dunno about the others, but #1 is all over the web, at least… hard to find original source, and pics like these can be had for a buck on some stock sites, too… so yeah…
I want to go camping…#15
Where is #14?
about 15 minutes north of Indianapolis, Indiana
Yup, that's Carmel all right.
It's in Hawaii.
#2 Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Another reason that it is a top 5 National Park.
It would be awesome if these were in wallpaper size, especially #3.
Wallpaper does not do it justice. It's something you would have to experience for yourself to truly appreciate it. I think you should throw it on your bucket list
That's Moriane Lake near Lake Louise in Banff Provincial Park! It's an amazing sight which everyone should experience for themselves in person. Breathtaking!
Used to be the $20.00 view when it was on the back of the Canadian $20.00 bill.
#2 I think that's Yellowstone, I have a similar photo.
#20 needs to be in the next Wallpaper posting you do Chive.
#3 – Taken from the rock pile at Moraine Lake (Valley of the 10 Peaks), just outside Banff, Alberta in the Canadian Rockies. Do yourself a favour and experience it.
There is no place like home! I would highly think it is something everyone should experience – I am very luck for it to be my personal playground!
Incorrect. This is north of Aurora, Ontario near Gravenhurst
Incorrect. I was just here last weekend, took a photo just like this one. Canadian Rockies at their finest!
Incorrect. It is clearly Miami, Florida.
#4 is the Koenigsee in Berchtesgaden, Bavaria (Germany). I had a beer at that same place. Awesome.
#5 autumn eyegasm
#8 is my idea of paradise
#12 – had no idea there was a lagoon in the middle of central park.

It's a reservoir, I've peed in it many times…
Go NY Rangers!!!
ah, good to know. and i actually like the rangers. i do have some 94 hate left over, but for the most part i respect the boys in blue. u actually built ur team into a winner. other than buying gaborik, richards, and nash… u guys have drafted well.
#2 After our first trip there in June, my husband and I decided to move there when our kids are out of school. Thank you for sending me home even for a few minutes.
Your husband cheats on you…all the time.
What an icky thing to say. You're not Chive-worthy.
#13 Solla Sollew? http://thechive.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/you-s…
#8 and #20 Took my breath away. Such amazing views.
#13 this looks like something out of a Dr. Seuss book
#17 I freaking LOVE this chapel… I admire it every time I pass it on the way to Estes Park, CO
I thought that was Saint Malo. It is in Allenspark, CO.
It absolutely is known as Chapel on the Rocks or Saint Catherine of Siena's Chapel which is located on the grounds of Saint Malo Retreat Center which is 11 miles south of Estes Park in Allenspark,
Co. You are both right. A Denver Chiver. KCCO.
You beat me to it Gates! Hwy 7 is a way more scenic drive than 36.
…also a Denver Chiver!
We need a Chive meet-up here soon!
