Torres del Paine National Park is perhaps one of the best places on earth. It is amazing. Get there if you can and do the W trek or the Circuit and you'll have these views for 4-10 days.

Does anyone know the name of this hotel

well. Now we know where the next bond film will be done…

The location and interior are fantastic, but the outside looks like a mobile home on steroids.

Meh… Views are nice but not worth over $600 a night…

When I went there they had no such Hotel. I'm frankly pissed off that they are capitalising on one of the most beautiful places on earth with an expensive hotel. That place is for Hikers and camping, none of this fancy shit. What makes it so worthwhile is that you are roughing it, if it's given to you on a silver platter, you really don't appreciate it as much.

I think one of the last bond films was shot here.

I've been there. You have to take a boat to get to it, if you aren't hiking that is. I did the whole TdP circuit and camped in my tent nearby. There is a separate camper lounge for dirty hikers…

Looks like a great place to let go of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but man that price is steep.

Lovely envionment and the accomdations look nice. But at those prices I would choose to put up a tent.

I went there a few years back and it truly is magnificent. If you go, don't miss the Milodon cave close by where they found a well preserved giant sloth and some Saber Tooth Tiger teeth. It's a long trip but well worth it. Viva Chile!

  • Haisano

Explora was my favorite place of all in Chile; I didn't want to leave!

One fun thing is that the rooms have windows in the bathroom looking out towards the view. That way you won't have to take a bath or drop a deuce without losing site of the incredible view.

#27 Beautiful view, chairs face the other way.

  • doug

Architectural eyesore in a land of amazing beauty. Burn that hotel down.

  • Carl Creel

You weren't kidding about the stunning views. It wouldn't matter whether it's lakeside or mountainside, anyone will be blown away just looking out the window.
