What the hell would we do if china didn't exist?

    • Yoselahonda

      Go to work.

    • emailhobo

We would invent silver and call it "silver China"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • http://www.thechive.com S_Giacomazzi

But China wouldn't exist so it wouldn't make any sense

    • matt

      drive safer?

      • JoeMamma

I see what you did there

    • _DoC_

Make our own shit, quit out sourcing the bulk of jobs and bottom out the unemployment rate? Just guessing.

    • red

Then the US would have to find someone else to be billions of $$$$ in debt to.

  • johnz

    • Nice

His other shirt say's "chive on"

#1 Is sad but true about most everything in the states.

    • Mack

Another funny factoid. Obama's chair is made by a Canadian Co called Global Furniture. They shipped it in pieces down South so a) it could be thoroughly inspected, and b) so it could be assembled in the states and stamped "Made in the USA". Yeah, I know, kinda useless info, but I like useless.

      • Daddy

Another fun factoid. George W's chair (the Concorde Presidential Office Chair) was also made by Global and went through the same process. I know, I know…useless.

        • Mr. Tea

          And did you know… Gunshot*

  • sapphicosorus

Well in #2's defense, there is a douchebag exception in every single peace treaty ever signed.

    • Nice

      Look like chive readers

    • FunKiller

#1 makes me sad, remember when everything was "Made in U.S.A"?

    • Innocent_Bystander

      I don't actually. Then again, I'm Canadian.

    • defaultuser

Yup, and then ppl got sick of paying for things that were made by workers paid American wages.
They didn't mind buying foreign as long as it didn't affect their employment.

Everything trickles down sooner or later…

    • asdasd

not really… I do remember "Made in Japan" and "Made in Taiwan" tho..

      • Jezdezpez

Must be before your time then, how old are you, if you don't mind. American made was the way to go!

        • Nice

    • CC16

Were you born in the 30's? This isn't a new thing.

      • Jezdezpez

        yes… that's when I was born…. idiot.

  • Jason

#22 I can't stand fat people, they eat eat eat eat and complain they are far and get disability checks and use my money to eat more wtf

    • A BiPolar Guy

Only a few enormously fat people who are unable to move about could possibly qualify for disability from being fat, though quite a few disabled people become fat from inactivity and boredom. So shut up until you know what you are talking about.

      • Theresia

I can't stand pretentious douche bags.. Jason, you are a wart on the ass of society,

        • The Truth

That's what a fat person would say.

        • SanDiego

          But your fat

    • _DoC_

It's not their fault, they just don't shit enough and they fill up. Also is McDonald's fault for being so delicious.

I used to work at a starbucks back a couple years ago. It used to be to use their wifi you had to have a registered starbucks card. But you could only register it online. Corporate logic at it's finest. I think they finally got enough complaints that they just made available to everyone. #24

  • misschris

#17 I'm going to hell for laughing about this one! That's just terrible :-P

  • Felcus

#1 On Veteran's Appreciation Day I was given such a flag. As a veteran, I wanted to beat the hell out of the moronic organizer but instead I decided to never attend the Veteran's Appreciation Day again.

    • Snuggs

Nice work, both of those reactions are much better than reasonably raising your concerns with those organizing such an event so as to effect positive change and maintain healthy human relationships.

  • Bob

    #16 is just unlucky

    • MonkeyMadness

      Yup, not irony.
