#1 – "One Thousand White Women is the story of May Dodd and a colorful assembly of pioneer women who, under the auspices of the U.S. government, travel to the western prairies in 1875 to intermarry among the Cheyenne Indians. The covert and controversial "Brides for Indians" program, launched by the administration of Ulysses S. Grant, is intended to help assimilate the Indians into the white man's world. Toward that end May and her friends embark upon the adventure of their lifetime. Jim Fergus has so vividly depicted the American West that it is as if these diaries are a capsule in time."

Why does she have a problem with this? This picture annoys me.

My bro and I used to turn the sound off TV when playing an old western or noir from the 50s and then adlib a dialogue based on facial expressiuons and action. It used to have the same effect on us as this post did on me- on the floor gasping with laughter!!

#28 is very close to reality. Christmas comes out as 10th on the list of stress-inducers, so this post is very likely saying what many people think.. Media paints a picture of the "perfect" Christmas and people compare and get the big "D" because their Christmas is NOTHING like.
It amused me when I read of a guy living in NY city and at Christmas time one TV channel would transmit a continuous picture of a burning log fire during the season to give apt dwellers some "reality" HA!
Chive, if you can reduce me to tears of laughter, your blood's worth bottlin'
