      Many of the episode are (or used to be) only be a time elapse of a day. Sometimes there are 2 or 3 part episodes that only cover one day, sometimes there is a more longer time lapses. At approximately 767 episodes ( from a wiki source, not entirely sure how accurate, that would only be a little over two years. At most, if there were more significant time lapses, then we could bump that up to maybe four years. Since Ash, like all trainers, start at age 10, he'd only be 14, maybe. It's been a while since I've seen the show, but that's just from the show format I remember. That's more or less the same demographic it's always been.
