Dunno, my mind is not blown. The ones that look good still look pretty good either way. The ones that don't look good still don't look good.

Makeup can highlight certain features (eyes and eye makeup come to mind), but it isn't like getting plastic surgery or something, it isn't *that* drastic. Plus, in many of these not only do they not have on makeup, but they also clearly were in a situations where they weren't paying much attention at all to their appearance. Heck, I'm a male, I don't wear makeup ever, but I still look worse when I just hauled my ass out of bed and haven't so much as washed may face than I do later on in the day after I've actually woken up, gotten the blood flowing and cleaned myself up a bit.
