Only on theCHIVE is Mind the Gap Monday followed by Winnie the Pooh quotes… so awesome.
Is Winnie The Pooh an Occupy Wallstreet type of guy? I'm not going to embed a bunch of numbers but just go back and read em again….He's a fuckin hipster!=/
Made my Monday a whole lot brighter.
#12 My favorite kind of people.
#2 #11 ♥
shoudn't this be at the berry?
Shouldn't you be squirting vinegar into a vagina?
Oh shut the hell up, this goody goody crap makes me puke aswell.
Guess you are too young to have been too old for this crap as a kid. Wish Teddy Ruxpin would kick the crap out of Winnie.
Nope perfectly fine here actually
#4 Never let your wife read theChive over your shoulder without you knowing….she read this one to me:
"If the person you are talking to doesn't appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be he has a small penis stuffed in his ear"
I froze and didn't have a comeback for it!
Anyone else remember being freaked the fuck out by the Heffalumps and Woozles song as a kid*
Scared the hell out of me.
Never liked pooh after that
i thought i was the only one…
Bunch of Hipsters!
#5 #6 definitely two to remember
#9 Yeah they are! Now toke and pass, man!
Haha exactly what I was thinking!
I wonder if Christopher Robin ever did Eeyore in the butt?
Don't know but I am starting to wish that is all your dad and mom stuck to doing.
You shouldn't talk to your moms boyfriend like that Truth
Truth isn't, he's actually talking to your sister's boyfriend.
That might explain Eeyore's depression.
Eeyore might be a donkey but you are a jackass!
Well…he is friends with a bunch of sock puppets =/
#2 Well at least I know my wife's heart is being satisfied.
Ha!!! Good one
#13 is my new motto.
"'But why is he narrating himself?' He types out of curiosity."
#10 So very true…
this one was my favorite but so few people seemed to have liked it
I hate the fact that the grammar error in #7 is killing my enjoyment of this post.
I'm calling it a spelling error. Either way I'm pretty sure it was not made by A.A. Milne.
I find I am always well served by ignoring the "wisdom" passed on by those that cannot spell.
I grew up next to an old man who we called Sarge. An old Army NCO he had served at the end of WW2 and Korea. He would sit in his front yard and talk to the neighborhood kids, telling stories of his life and trying to instill us with a sense of morality, compassion and civic duty. One day, when I was a teenager, he asked me to come over and help him with something. He gave me a letter from an old buddy of his, asked me to read it, which I did, then asked if I could write the reply he dictated. I joked that he had lost his glasses to which he replied "No, I never learnt to read properly."
thatguy, never confuse education with wisdom. It will lead you astray.
get a life.
Unless you are marking a kids exam paper who cares about grammar to that extent.
it's so amazing the AA Milne, the original author of Winnie the Pooh tried to kill pooh off at the end of his second book and lived his whole life regretting creating the character.
That's not true at all but ok.
AA milne wrote the first two books for his kid, christopher robin, and they got picked up. After that he tried to go more into adult fiction and always regretted creating the Intellectual property that Disney had picked up as it overshadowed everything he was trying to accomplish. he actually said in an interview once that he wanted to kill Pooh off at the end of his second book but didn't.
#11 works so much better if you switch "something" with "someone".
<3 See? Good things do come from Winnipeg!
Hmm… yeah… or England…
Nope. Winnie was named after Winnipeg.
This really made my day. Everything I needed to read was right here. Thank for the badass post.
Did anyone else read all of these in Pooh's / Tiggers and Piglets Voice?
I'm sorry..I thought I was on the Chive not the Berry! <rolling eyes>
Because men are incapable of having feelings…are you complexed bro ?.
Never had a childhood ?, mommy issues ?.
Why is it that you cant not like winnie the pooh, Tweety Bird, the Road Runner and all the other goody goodies and somehow not of had a childhood? I'll cry everytime I watch Gran Torrino, the death in Bridge to Terribithia, or that death scene in 'UP'. But you know what I cant stand? This goody goody, tweety bird is the good guy, friendship is the meaning of life, incrowd crap thats shoved down our throats as kids. And Pooh bear is the king of that garbage notion.
Thanks but my childhood will be hangin with the real kids watching Ninja Turtles or The real Ghostbusters, you goody goody dorks.
that escalated quickly
#5 When you see someone putting on big boots, you can be pretty sure someone's going to get a good shit-kicking.
Highly recommend the Tao of Pooh. Great book.
As if anyone cared.
Damn douche bags and there internet spelling over compensation.
thuoght I wuold give you smoe otehrs to crorcet
Ok am I the only one that thinks half of these sound like stoner comments?
