Last Memorial Day at Toons, a New Orleans – style Jazz bar in Chicago, a group of guys noticed Bill Murray walking towards Wrigley Field for the baseball game. They shouted to the icon, inviting him in for a beer.

Bill continued walking but slowly raised his right arm and gave the group a thumbs up.

A half hour into the game, it started raining and the game was delayed. A few minutes later, Bill Murray sauntered into the bar, the entire place fell silent. Then Bill Murray exclaimed, “Anybody here got a beer?”

A dozen people scrambled to put a beer in his hands. Bill spent the rest of the afternoon playing Golden Tee and taking photos with everybody. One Chiver recalled, “He remembered everybody’s names. On his way out, he thanked the staff for the booze and the food, even the cooks.”
