Steve Jobs’ Mega-Yacht, a floating Apple Store (11 HQ Photos)

The high-tech iYacht, Venus, which Steve Jobs himself designed, was unveiled in the Netherlands yesterday. The 260-foot vessel storta' looks like a bunch of Mac books stacked on top of each other, a testament to Jobs' simple, sleek, and minimalist mentality.

Before Jobs passed, the yacht was one of his favorite projects, he had no intention of leaving it half finished, even though he knew he'd likely never see its maiden voyage. The Jobs family is set to attend the launch.

  • iHateApple

Wonder if it requires a special gasoline pump that only it can use?

    • Dirty_Dingus

I wonder if Billionaires are going to line up to be the first to buy one.

    • peter

      well played

    • Really?

At least it will crash less than other yachts.

      • overpriced junk

Yes, one yacht is almost certain to crash less in total than millions of yachts.

    • itslikethis

      And…………………………. its obsolete

      • JSJ

I heard the iYachtS is coming out next month.

    • Canucks_Rule

gas talk prob has it's own unique slot.

    • Robzombie

And nobody will know how to operate it or fix it

  • ray

hope his family gets to enjoy it as he would've wanted.

    • Gonasiphaherpalitis

He must have had a really small penis.

      • Tanthony2012

You don't need a big dick when you're a billionaire

  • $$$$$

i heard the mega yacht industry is really hurting right now.

  • Erik

This thing is ugly. That being said I still want it.

    • Claud

u should check abramovich's yacht. with anti missile devices. camera destroying gadjets and a personal submarine for his family in case the yacht gets taken

    • Slauterhause

      It's an iSore

      Waka waka.

    #5 Lame

    • PiratesFan

Going to be really awkward when the captain gets the good ol' rainbow pinwheel when he's trying to steer away from an iceberg.

  • Big Poppa

    Sorry I still prefer boobies.

    • jl1617

And this will provide endless bobbies.

  • MOAR

Not really seeing the macbooks in the design.

  • jim thorton

Big. Looks very square and the upper portion with that metal siding stuff looks a bit different, but I would take it in a heartbeat.

  • Josh

I wonder if the builder is already developing a thinner version that is twice as fast

    • True Story

I wonder how man boat designs and accessories of others they used in the design of it, then plan on suing anyone in the future who uses it on their boat design.

      • Squirrel

        Is that even English?

      • Timmytamtom

Dude that missing "y" in "many" really fucked with my mind.

    • xaotikdesigns

Well, if it's anything like they did wiht the iPhone, then this one is probably a steamship. The second gen will be upgraded to deisel, but will lack an anchor, and if your hand touches a certain metal part, the ship just sinks…

  • dallas_oc

i wonder which one is more expensive and over priced? That boat or a fucking iphone?

    • xaotikdesigns

The boat wasn't made by apple, so I'd go with the iPhone, but then again, this one looks to have tons of Apple PCs built into it, so they are probably about even.

      • A BiPolar Guy

Nothing is over priced if people are willing to pay that price. Everything is over priced to the one who will not pay the price. Worth is a value judgement, and hence has no objective reality.

    • Cheap Asses

I dont even have an iPhone and I cant stand when people wine how expensive it is.. Its only $199 bucks!! Same as any other smart phone on the market worth buying. Shit you can even get one for 99 or free if you get a year old one. There are more Android phones out there that cost More than the iPhone.

  • DisNinjaSeen

    For $949, pre-order now!

    • Si1entStatic

you forgot about six zeros on the price tag…. $949,000,000.00 secures your place in line…

  • Mac is gay

  • Verbal_Kint

It's terrible. Sometimes minimalist goes too far. It looks like a fucking block of cheese with some windows in it.

    • Chuck

And what's your point exactly? Are you saying you hate cheese?

      • dallas_oc

Hey?! You shall never speak ill of cheese.

        and bacon

        cant forget bacon

        mmmmmmmmmmm baaaaacon

      • Verbal_Kint

I might actually like cheese more than this boat…

    • Ehh

I dont think you will find windows in it….

      • Verbal_Kint

I suspected this was coming… lol.

    • Fred Durst

nothing says minimalist like a 260 foot "high-tech" yacht

  • JP Freely

I wonder what it uses for navigation software…

    • help

      Apple maps of course ^^

      • shhh

When you say the joke out loud, you produce a reverse laugh. That's a sound nobody should ever have to hear.

  • Isak

In 10 years they'll make yachts you can fit in your pocket

  • Arturo

    Where's the USB port?

    • @undefined

On the port side, duh! 🙂

    • Guest

USB? No.. It uses a lightning connector!

    • Buford_Justice

      on the left

  • cote

i wonder if it uses apple maps or Google maps.

    • Justsayoyvey

It uses Apple Computers running Windows using Google maps.

  • bh4q

It will probably become outdated in 6 months

  • nodon

#10 – my god, is that Steve's ghost?

  • 617Chiver

Black screen drop, cue music, Jobs Hologram on stage:

Imagine all the beeps, boops sand schematics you'll be able to enjoy from the iYaht. Innovation, at its' finest. You're welcome.

    Drops mic

    • Yeah

Well that was a waste of time.

  • danny

    I'm surprised it's so large.

  • Pense

Does this mean Apple is going to sue me if I ever build a boat?

    • Bubba

      You win the internet today!

  • Electric Boogalo

    turtleneck life jackets?

    • Herman

+ chain and a light beer

  • MylesofStyles

Completely unnecessary. I can get lost for free in my fishing boat.

  • Alex

That yacht alone cannot house all of Apple's law team.
