Congrats on your new hobby of watching hockey. I've been doing it for around 40 years but welcome aboard anyway.

So, first no penalty playoff game in 3 DECADES whose lack of penalty calls so entirely favored the side whose special teams was near the bottom of all categories for playoff teams was a total coincidence? When the team such a rare circumstance favored had a player whose daddy was the league disciplinarian who, in turn ALREADY HAD A HISTORY OF MEDDLING WITH OFFICIATING IN GAMES WHERE HIS SON WAS CONCERNED (hey, don't take it from me, if you can, read it yourself here: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=341367 ) that's a total coincidence too? And then, immediately after the game's conclusion, he steps down without warning or any hint of notice is also entirely coincidence?

One of us is indeed a sad example of a fan…but it's not me. The situation favored a team you cheer for so I suppose it's natural for a "fan" like you to claim it's butthurt and such. But anyone with a sports IQ above…well…yours, would see the confluence of one of the rarest events in the NHL coinciding with a guy who'd already abused his position of authority with referees to benefit his kid's team as probably something more than sheer happenstance.

I don't bring it up much but you're a delusional idiot to think it was divine intervention or something totally natural.

I'm very happy for you in that you've been watching hockey for 40 years. I'm ok with the fact that you are indeed older than me, and by virtue, wiser. I only use that out of respect because that is how I was raised. However, to assume that you're IQ is grander than mine based solely on my knowledge of hockey which I have been playing for most of my life is the ridiculous. I don't like to involve myself in these sort of "flame wars", however your bantering and accusation of a league getting involved in how games are played based on the fact the Colin's son is on the roster is inane. I am only responding at this point because you have unnecessarily called me stupid and questioned my love of the sport that I play and watch. I hope that you will get over this soon…it has been over a year and a half. All you are doing right now is trying to demure the amazing displays that we see when these athletes pour their souls on the ice for our entertainment. When Stamkos got the shot to the face in game 7 from the deflected shot, I didn't cheer nor was I happy. I'm a hockey fan first and a Bruins fan second.
For a 40+ year individual you should really be a tad more mature about how you present yourself, especially in a forum such as this. I do concede that my saying you were butthurt was immature, I will admit to that, however, you trying to hold on to the belief that the back office has anything to do with what happens on the ice is ridiculous.
I know that my retort to you will not hold weight in your mind, but you need to realize that it's a game. I didn't gripe and call foul when my team has lost in the series' that they have lost over my life time watching the sport because I know it's a game and really unexplainable shit happens…a lot…and there is nothing that I can do explain it away. You just have to accept it and move on. The players do, you should too
