Funny part is,according to his biography,he wasn't.He grew up in a very religious and sheltered household.In fact–the part in "Welcome to the Jungle" video where he gets off the bus dressed like a hayseed with the shit-kicker clothes and the piece of hay between his teeth is completely a reference to his background and how naive he was.At the end of the video–he's totally transformed into LA trash rocker.
