#14 is kinda how my office looks already…

  • Craigery

#1 They obviously didn't cook the eggs on the iron. Fake.

    • Gaah.

So fucking sick of the "cooking shit with my iron" pics. We get it, irons get hot. Lets move on.

  • Craigery

#5 I don't get it. Why do they need to prop up the jar?

    • Vampirate

This wont really work with salad dressing but if you've got a jar of cooking sauce and can't be arsed to scrape the last bits out, try this: Pour a little bit of water into the jar, replace the lid and shake. This should clean all the source from the sides of the jar and when you cook whatever you've put the source on, the small amount of water you added should evaporate away.

    • HumpDan

If it's almost empty, to let it drip without holding it.

I don't see why they just don't use a butter knife or a spoon to get it out.

      • FunKiller

        ….or the fork.

        • anna

and what the fuck are they eating?!?! looks gross!

          • FunKiller

Looks like a salad, with some type of red dressing…..doesn't look gross to me!

            • Dr_StrangePants

              Russian or Catalina dressing

    #18 Aim for the Ear…

    • blue_bronco

I will accept this challenge this weekend.

    • Ray

I used to be an adventurer like you then I took a q-tip to the knee . . .

  • Steved24

    #20 seems legit.

  • SuperChiver

#2 is actually a great idea. I was going to buy 45lb plates for my bench but my car needs new tires for winter. I guess I can use the old tired now instead of spending money on plates.

    • Kato

Doesn't look safe though. I'd rather buy a used Olympic bar than whatever make shift bar that is. You can find cheap used weights for sale online. I got a used Olympic bar for $50 and plates for $5-20 depending on weight on Craigslist. My advice: Don't risk it man especially if it concerns your well being.

Just looking out for a fellow Chiver. KCCO!

    • SuperChiver

*Tires, efin auto correct on my phone.

  • TheBAMFinater

#18 may have to try that out.

    • gma

Do they really have to go through the step-by-step process?
You could figure it out from the final assembly photo.

    • sfb101

You'll put your eye out kid!

  • realtree

#18 the build up made expect something way more bad ass.. but i guess you cant expect much from a popscicle stick, floss and a q-tip..

    • orangenod18

Put some alcohol on the q-tip and light it up with fire. Now that's badass

    • BWaecker

Also a good idea, cut a notch where you put the Q tip and you can have more accuracy. Either that or you can go live life. Whatever comes first.

    • Trotter1982

I'm with you. The final picture should've shown MacGuyver using it to blow up a tank or something.

    • Chiver_Sammy

You can try to replace the Q-tip with a toothpick or a needle for mote fun…

  • Dani

I call fake on the first one… the raw would have just drooped onto the sides and into the holes.

  • Taylor9214

#9 Im sure whatever it is- its awesome. but what is it?

    • Dr_StrangePants

Why are we focusing on the straw?
That Battery Pack is McGuyver Qualified Genius

    • FunKiller

      My guess: a cable modem.

      • Arid

It looks like they are experiencing a power outage and want some internet. They created a battery backup for the modem.

      • Craigery

        Awesome! ;)

    • Travioso

      That shit looks impressive

  • Guest

#1 Mustve felt like chewing plastic wrap :x

    • Craigery

2 things: (1) They obviously didn't cook the eggs on the iron, or they would've dripped into all the holes. (2) If they HAD cooked them on the iron, why do you think it would feel like chewing plastic wrap? Cooking them on a hot iron is fundamentally the same as cooking them on a non-stick frying pan or griddle. I'm sure they'd taste perfectly normal.

      • Guest

Iron aside, thats some burned eggs to me

        • Dr_StrangePants

Some us like crispy edges. Look fine to me

  • SuperChiver

  • ps86

    #9 nooooooo……. really?

    • @AllTaco

Help me out on this one.

      • sparky

The purpose of that big black box that plugs into the wall is to convert household current into a useable voltage for whatever you are plugging in. In this case, the verizon modem is a most likely a 6 volt modem and therefore will work using 4 D-Cell batteries strung together (1.5volts each x 4 = 6volts). You can power anything using batteries if you combine them in the right combination to create a close approximation of the required voltage.

      • ps86

makeshift power supply out of D-cell batteries, and i'm no electrician but seems to me like it would need more voltage

        • 5280Blazin

exactly what I was thinking 4 batteries doesn't equal 120 volts, but hey if it isn't overheating from the amps then who the hell cares

          • gma

Components like these don't take 120VAC directly; they usually have those "wall wart" power supplies that might be supplying anything in the range of 15-24 VDC.
Still I don't see how D cells could work.

  • deboh

Is this a normal Ipod or is a special cigarette case / Ipod combo?????

I need one joints will fit into

    • Craigery

That depends on how big you roll 'em.

      • Cheech

How many joints are in a lid?

        • Jim

          2… I roll big bones

    #12 Absolutely awesome
#18 Need to make one of these ASAP
#19 That a pretty damn expensive tripod!

    • gma

I thought the same thing – you can buy small tripods for next to nothing; why fabricate some utterly hideous abomination instead.

  • RUhigh

I'd show you how to make a match gun out of a clothespin, but I don't think it's legal. Oh well…
