Brian, this imagery is just part of the refuge for fools that is patriotism. You keep believing that "our guys" are away keeping us safe (it was better intelligence and a small seal team, not "our guys")…although I still haven't a clue as to who I'm supposed to be afraid of over seas that requires our armies. But you keep fooling yourself and shining your bullets for that supposed invasion and turn a blind eye to the problems at home.

Seriously Chive, what's with all the stylized gun shit? I understand that's a part of your regular material, but what happened this week was the worst thing that I have ever heard in my life. Somebody shot twenty children between the ages of five and eight at close range and this is the week for awesome pictures of guns and ammo? I would have expected Chive to raise money for the victims' families, not glorify a killing instrument in the wake of such a horrible tragedy.

Are you kidding? There are multiple shooting deaths in this country every day, so should we never watch a movie with violence in it? Should we never hear a song with lyrical content. It's a picture of Bert & Ernie based on a movie. Just because this is on the news doesn't make it any more horrible than all the rest of the incidences. Why are you selectively choosing now to act all high and mighty?

On top of all that, how does a picture on the Chive relate to the terrible incident in Connecticut? K-1 probably didn't upload or post the photo. They were merely appreciating the art work of whoever did.

Whomever believes that guns are the cause of what happened in CT is blinded. Guns are not the issue— mental health is the problem. I carry a gun everyday and have yet to have it shoot me or someone else. If more people would study gun safety and gun control; along with carrying firearms, shootings like this would not be as likely. If a teacher would have had a gun then we would possibly only be mourning the death of the shooter right now– but then again we probably would not hear of that story, as the media would not like the hero story! When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns. Great picture on #3 without one we would not have the other.

I must oppose to this. You say, "If a teacher would have had a gun then we would possibly only be mourning the death of the shooter right now" – but in this case the teacher DID have a gun, and that gun was fired at her by her own son.
I'm not American, but I share the grief and sorrow after the CT incident. And in my opinion you have to acknowledge the fact that the more guns there are in a society, the higher rate of school killings you find. I'm not saying that gun control is the only way to avoid killings like this in the future, but if you don't do something, it will go on.
My deepest condolence to the families in Newtown, CT, and to the many other families of school killing victims over the years.

Im getting tired of all this gun control crap. you say with more guns thered be more school shooting. well that same morning there was a stabbing at a school in china, they didnt use a gun there. do you want to ban knives aswell? if guns are banned the mentally ill people that do these things will use other means to do what they will, for instance the oklahoma city bombing. timothy mcveigh didnt use any guns there.. yet we can still purchase things like fertilizer and fuel to make bombs that kill and injure more people. so theres more harmful things that should be band than guns. and may those children and teachers rest in peace.
