Best Dad of the year award goes to…., Seriously this guy rocks
Thats Tim Tebow
I wish my dad was that cool…
I just wish i had a dad
Shut up Batman, you are bringing us down.
He's probably busy working 3 jobs to pay for your useless shit like an XBox, or the bike you begged him for and never use. Perspective.
I'm a dad and I'm that cool.
Why do I get the feeling it was more for the dad himself than his son?
Happy New Year Asshole.
Really? So in your mind, a father is not allowed to take any enjoyment in engaging in activities for and with his child? Judging by those photos, the lad is pretty excited about the effort. Why would you want to take that away from the father (and the son)? I pity your kids, and if you don't have any, please don't breed.
Soreal, the Dad enjoyed making it but also loves to see his son's enjoyment. What is wrong with that.
By far the best thing I've seen a dad do for his child this year.
#15 That dad is awesome.
#16 awesome dad is awesome
Guys, I'm pretty sure this is legit.
Better get some side rails on that death bed.
It would be really cool if this kid grows up to be an astronaught.
It would be really cool if you grow up to be a Scrabble champion
What's an "astro nothing"?
Hope junior don't grow up to up taller than 6', as you can't be an astronaut if you are. Also space program will probably be broke by then, if not already. Chive on
Red Bull passed NASA just a few months ago.
Literal asshole, you obviously don't get it. Why don't you go criticize hump day why you're at it.
There's room to do so many activities!
Awesome job ! I would however add a siderail so the young lad doesn't suffer mission failure upon reentry…
#3 – always good grinding steel with no eye protection
Kinda like problem child 2.
You're doing it right, dad.
I have no doubt that this was a completely selfless gift, given for the unconditional love a father has for his child.
But you just know when that kid is playing with his friends that guy is playing with that kick ass bed.
Is it functional? Integrate some of the controls into a space sim? That would be cool. By itself, I give it a week before underwear is hanging off the throttle stick.
In 20 years when that kid is a pilot, it will be panties hanging off the throttle stick.
Where did the Atari 2600 Joystick end up?
#15 – awesome.
First boring comment of the new year.
that definately wasnt my dad
Pic 10 shows "Grass Valley Group" in the upper right corner of the panel. http://www.grassvalley.com/products
So my guess is Dad works there and has access to all those switches, knobs, levers and buttons. It's still really cool but pic 2 would have us believe that this was built out of junk electronics he had laying around, which simply is not the case.
It looks like an old Grass Valley Video switcher, my guess is he works for a TV station that was disposing of the last of it's old Standard Def broadcast gear
I was looking everywhere for those parts in pic 2, no where to be seen (except the stickers for guages maybe)
Does it matter?
Oh, cut the bleeding heart crap, will ya? We've all got our switches, lights, and knobs to deal with, Striker. I mean, down here there are literally hundreds and thousands of blinking, beeping, and flashing lights, blinking and beeping and flashing – they're *flashing* and they're *beeping*. I can't stand it anymore! They're *blinking* and *beeping* and *flashing*! Why doesn't somebody pull the plug!
gotta love classic shatner.
If that kid is like mine, 5 minutes after finishing it, the kid would be over in the corner playing with the boxes that it all came in or moved back to lego's….
Prediction: Son will get bored of this shit heap in about a week …
Its a passion like that which brings about the next generation of doers. This kid will probably grow from the really cool setup and become an astronaut or at least a scientist!
