"Daniel Ferrier, the man who died a hero on New Year's Eve in Old Sacramento, is my roommate/brother/mentor. He was filling in as a bouncer at the sports bar, he and another doorman were breaking up a fight when the guy started shooting. He served our country in Kuwait, and I had the privilege of meeting a fellow soldier from his platoon, Angel, as we all gathered at Hooters to celebrate Daniel's life (Daniel rarely missed Wednesday wings night). He is also the man who introduced me to the Chive, my daily addiction.

Please honor this Chiver. Give him the voice he deserves."

Thanks, Daniel. May you Rest in Peace.
