The Once heaviest man in the world Mr. Mason weighed about 980 lbs. He spent $48,000 on an operation that he undertook to reduce his eating capacity. Warning: some of the images are fairly graphic and the changes are dramatic.
This is disgusting. I know it probably makes me an evil human being, but grotesquely overweight people like this really should not be given so much attention and fame in my opinion. Why is he famous? Because hes a fat-ass? Jesus.
I used to live just down the road from that guy
#12 ! whoa ! built in squirrel suit! http://www.theage.com.au/ffximage/2007/12/10/W_SK…
where r the graphic images? i see ppl.like that all the time at DMV
So typical of many people…. When The Chive does a bit about women losing a bunch of weight and getting healthy, everyone jumps in with lots of 'you go grrllllls', good jobs, and even some wow 'i'd hit its'. But a man does it, lets make fun of him and overweight people (men only) and then digress into everything that is wrong with America, our eating habits and the like….
Most times, Chivers impress the hell outah me. Cases like this? Not so much.
Uh, actually, the British taxpayers paid for this guy's surgery through the NHS. And he lives on NHS benefits (which is how he got this fat in the first place – they paid for his take out). And now he wants the NHS to cough up another thirty someodd thousand pounds for the surgery to remove the loose skin. This infuriates me, and I'm not even British.
Amazing trurnaround very inspirational but what I'd like to know is HOW do you get to that weight in the first place?? Wouldn't you think that at about…oh i dunno…500 pounds you'd say to yourself, I better do something? Don't get me wrong I'm a big guy myself and I need to get my fat butt back to the gym but holy Christ! There's got to be a point where you say enough is enough.
And that whole thyroid thing? Bullshit. Your thyroid isn't shoving 4 or 5 Big Macs (or the UK equivalent) down your throat each day.
