Well if we're going to compare we have to be on a level playing field. If we're going to play it like that let's add in Pitt football with 9 national titles. And Pitt basketball too with 2 titles. Or how about Duquesne's swimming team? Or the Homestead Gray's with 11 titles, 9 of them in a row. OR maybe the Pittsburgh Passion, womens football, who won in 07. And there's the Crawfords with 5. How's that balance out the Celtics 17?

Oh please, you know what I meant, I'm not stupid I know that it's the triangular flag flown by the team who won the NLCS or ALCS, besides they call the post season "The Pennant Race" do they not? All I'm trying to point out is that if we're going to compare championships won by a city it has to be in the same sports, not a sport that a city doesn't have, or want.

If I'm not mistaken, the Pirates won most of those pennants over a hundred years ago, and are currently in the midst of the longest streak of losing seasons in the history of American professional sports. I'll give you credit for the Steelers and Penguins, but the Pirates? C'mon.
