#31 Boxers are just awesome dogs. I had to put mine down a little over a year ago. I knew I had to do it before he couldn't walk anymore. He was spoiled rotten till the end. Rest in peace Lennox I hope you got to eat to your hearts content.

This kills me.
This morning my mom called and told me they would be putting down our 9 year old English Mastiff, Bruiser. She said his stomach was twisted and the vet said the surgery was likely to kill him. Fast forward through an hour of me crying at my work desk and I get another call from my mom. This time she says apparently his stomach wasn't twisted…instead he had a massive, John Wayne sized amount of impacted shit in his bowls. It took a team of people to hold him down, squeeze his anal glands and get the poo out, but he was instantly better afterwards. I'm so happy that the vet realized this before they put him to sleep…goes to show that an uninformed diagnosis can easily lead to the unnecessary death of a beloved pet. Love you Bruiser-kins McGee!
